Barker's Behaviour - Dog Training

We are very glad we have found Alice!She is very knowledgeable, helpful and loves dogs.We have just been to visit her for a two day training session.We enjoyed it a lot and achieved so much.We highly recommend her!

Alice at Barkers Behaviour is an absolute magician. The results speak for themselves. We bought the puppy pack, and as first time dog owners, it really set us up for success by helping us start training and set the right boundaries from day 1 of taking Indie home.We also had a few 1 to 1 sessions with Alice when he was a bit older to tidy things up a bit. Alice’s method of training and explaining things is very practical, to the point and easy to follow, but also adaptable to each dog. She approaches everyone as individuals and works with you to get things right!Alice helped make bringing up our boy from a puppy a real pleasure and now we have a well mannered, wonderful (almost) 1 year old!

After several failed trainers (who seemed more concerned about money than the welfare of the dog), somebody recommended Alice to me. 3 hours each way from Surrey I thought was a bit far, but so glad I did. I can not recommend Alice enough. She is absolutely amazing, and if she can tame a very reactive Cane Corso, she can work her magic on anything. I am in regular contact with Alice and her help and advice is always first class BUT you’ve gotta put in the homework.

Alice at Barkers Behaviour has been extremely helpful since I brought home my five-month-old Labrador puppy. Her Puppy Pack is excellent value and her philosophy about dog ownership and training has transformed how I think about my puppy’s socialisation, development and interactions with other dogs. Alice is an absolute miracle worker!We had tried a lot of different strategies with our young dog, he had a difficult start and at 18 months we were really starting to feel like there wasn't a lot of hope that things would improve and we would need to end up rehoming him or worse because of his reactivity and fear.Less than a month later and we have a different dog, we have learnt to effectively and efficiently communicate with him, his reactivity is so much more manageable and we ultimately have a happier dog and happier home because of it. Everything we've learnt has also helped our other dog!In weeks I've got from crying and starting to loose hope to crying with happiness at the changes.We have more to learn and will be back again to see Alice but honestly, she's a genius!!!!!!

Alice has helped me so much with my Cocker Harvey. I’ve had him since a puppy and during lockdown Alice was available and helpful online. Since then our 1:1 training sessions have been clear sharp and professional. She’s offered great ideas and advice when I’ve been struggling and although I’m not there yet with his training I feel confident she’ll help me out as and when I need support.

I contacted Barkers Behaviour when my little rescue dog needed some help and training, he was a bit nervous and very prey focused, could not be let off lead and had poor recall. Alice took the time to listen and observe him and tailor some 1:1 training sessions for us. He has learned so much from Alice (and her neutral dog) and is now off-lead on walks and living his best life. His obedience has improved, he’s calmer and loves learning new things. Alice gave us so many tips to help him to improve, we couldn’t have done it without her.

Alice came to see us and help with our French Bulldog, Hugo, who had a number of issues including resource guarding, jumping up and general recall. We are so delighted with the help and guidance Alice gave us. She provided us with structured training that has enabled us to work with Hugo which has really improved his behaviour. We now understand our dog more and believe he has a better understanding of us too. My wife, who had never had dogs before, has gained a lot more confidence with Hugo and we are enjoying the training that we continue to do with Hugo. I would not hesitate to recommend Alice to anyone seeking help with their dogs.

I contacted Alice after finding it extremely hard to house train my 1 year old chihuahua. Alice came out to my home and taught me everything I needed to know and got to know my chihuahua and picked up on all of his behaviours. I decided it was best if I sent my chihuahua to her for two weeks for intensive training, Alice kept me up to date and put me at ease the whole time.Two weeks later I have a perfectly behaved house trained dog. Something I never saw happening! This lady is beyond amazing! I could not recommend enough!

After the first visit there has been an incredible change and noticeable difference within days everything is a lot more enjoyable . Alice is an amazing trainer and has helped me feel more confident in how I train my dog and left us with tools and advice and still answers any questions when she is not here.
