Polstead Preschool

A wonderful preschool where my son (aged 3) attends and is very happy. This was his first experience of being left with other adults and he is thriving. He happily goes in and often wants to stay longer. The staff are kind, caring and respectful. The setting is flexible to our requests and inclusive. I definitely recommend it to others.

A wonderful environment for all children to thrive. Both my boys have been and every day they looked forward to going. The staff are kind and skilful and inclusive, going way beyond to make sure the kids have a good time with all sorts of activities. There is a whole range of kids reflecting the diverse community locally and you could not hope for a happier feel to a pre-school. I would recommend Polstead without hesitation.

After moving to the UK, Polstead Preschool was the first encounter with English for our daughter. And we're so happy we found them! Teachers have been kind, patient, and leveling with her to make her not feel alone. They even learned some words in our language to make her feel understood. After 3 months, she understands most of what's going on, but mostly, she loves going here every day. There's a good vibe between the kids and teachers, and newcomers are welcomed with open arms. My daughters 3 and has been attending for the last 5 months and it’s great to say she loves it here. She was quite badly affected by lockdown and therefore had affected her communication - but so quickly has improved. She is excited to wake up and attend on her mornings, she loves her friends, playing, learning, each individual supervisor, and can now tell me about her days when I pick her up after school. Any concerns or little incidents are always discussed directly to me sensitively and it’s lovely to hear about how well she’s been doing direct from the supervisor too. I’d very highly recommend this preschool to anybody and my youngest will definitely be attending when she’s old enough!

My daughter left Polstead in 2022 and she had a wonderful time there, she loved her teachers and she made great friends. This is the first year for my son to go there and they absolutely have supported my son settling very nicely. The staff are nice and very helpful, they always have time to answer any questions and to inform about the development of my son. I really love this setting and a big Thank you for all the hard work and caring for our children.

We have had a very good experience of Polstead Preschool, with all three of our children attending. The atmosphere is friendly, nurturing & inclusive. Parents are regularly kept in the loop on what the kids are learning via the Tapestry platform. Can not fault it and would recommend to any parents who are considering sending their own children there.

My daughter left Polstead in September 2022 and still asks to go back! She had a wonderful time and the staff were supportive throughout. They went above and beyond to help my daughter as she went through a very difficult period health-wise. I will always be grateful that my daughter attended Polstead, as it gave her a fantastic start to her young life. She made good friends, and had a chance to learn through play as we came out of lockdown isolation. More than anything, she knew she was cared for and loved by the compassionate and creative staff.

We love Polstead. Our daughter attended for two years and was so happy. Amazingly caring and enthusiastic staff who make the experience fun for the children. We visited pre our daughter joining, and noticed how the children were all very welcoming, relaxed and friendly… obviously very happy to be there. Our daughter made some great friends here. This is a wonderful, friendly amd caring preschool serving a lovely, supportive community of parents. The staff are professional, knowledgeable and dedicated. Both of my children loved their time at Polstead and were excited to go in every day.

My son attended Polstead preschool for 7 months from January 2022. We had moved him from another nursery, in part because he had not been happy there, but immediately when he started at Polstead his confidence grew and we noticed him changing in a really positive way. I believe a large part of this was the caring and respectful way in which he was treated by the staff. They were always extremely kind and engaging with him, and I felt totally comfortable leaving him there each day. He was so keen to get inside and join in with the other children and would talk about his experiences when he got home. I would not hesitate to recommend Polstead preschool to any other parents who are considering where to send their little ones.
