Just returned from a two day visit , my 5th trip over a decade of more as one of our favourites. I’m a 4 handicap golfer so don’t mind the tough challenge of the Hotchkin and also like the less difficult bracken which has some excellent holes.Both courses were in good condition despite the dry weather of late.However our experience this left a bitter taste as I injured my wrist half way round on day 1, I was able to finish that round but the wrist swelled up very badly overnight and it was impossible to play the second day.I asked at the pro shop for a refund which was passed up the chain of command ,I was told the operations manager was in a meeting until after our scheduled tee time. So I informed the chaps in the pro shop I wasn’t playing and would walk round with the other 3 golfers and return after the round. I was told no refund would be given , I asked to speak to the operations manager and again no refund of the Green fee that was paid only 24 hours earlier of £70Very poor show imo , sadly I won’t be returning to a favoured venue

Staff are welcoming, friendly and polite and nothing is too much trouble for them. As customers are valued and respected. Food very good. You need to book because it is popular.

Very tough but very enjoyable course, excellent greens even in November - we played The Hotchkin. But beware the bunkers - they are everywhere!

The home of England Golf. 2 fantastic courses, which are well maintained and beautifully designed. It's great that you can play 2 very different types of course, each with its own unique challenges and characteristics. Definitely with the visit.

Excellent course that I was lucky enough to qualify to play on for the England ladies medal final . Lovely experience. Very welcoming staff. Homely feel to it. Offers a wide range of facilities to practice on. A must try for all golfers. Very helpful greenside bunkers to keep you on your toes.

Definitely, a bucket list golf course in the UK. It's very challenging and exciting to play the Hotchkin course. The overall facilities are good. Highly recommended.

Hotchin course. Brilliant. You should play it. Harsh but fair. Stay out of the bunkers.

Brilliant facility, difficult course for mid to high handicappers, played the Hotchkin the championship course, 143 bunkers think I went in most of them. Stunning scenery. The staff were great and deserve all the credit for the competition day I attended. Hope to be back soon.
