Sworders are the best. My favourite auction house. A lot of great lots, with exciting auctions and great customer care. They have had a good run of Doullton Lambeth, with a win today of a wee mouse candlestick holder from Victorian times. I will treasure it forever and just want to say thank you to the Sworders team for their hard work matching magical lots up with people like me that want to preserve these treasures for the generations to come. ♥️

Buyers Beware.Won a small item at auction for £30 but with auction charges and delivery came to over £96.Charged nearly £60 delivery.Ripp off, less than 100 miles plus no insurance.If I'd of sent it would of been less than £10.The old saying once bitten twice shy.

Very pleasant and helpful staff providing a top quality service. Saleroom is in a delightful country setting with plenty of parking. Food and drink at the same location. We are very pleased with the oil painting we bought at one of Sworders auctions.

Lovely spot with nice teas and coffees. Everyone is friendly and the chap helping us went above and beyond gathering four men from the office to help me move the (~200KG) sideboard into the van.

I entered an item into the specialist design sale with Sworders.This item from the 60s was in perfect condition. Whilst in their care it received extensive damage.They had no explanation as to how this could happen.The value of the item after damage was a fraction of it's original value.Their attitude towards this incident was offhand and disinterested.They offered me the sale minus fees. Customer service is key when things go wrong. A belligerent passive aggressive attitude is not helpful.Will never use again.

Seems a shame that this auction house is working hard and getting many thing right but when I discovered you can no longer view every auction I was aghast. That is something they are getting wrong and losing their way. Viewing is compulsory for many clients young and old, and this should be considered a basic necessity, not something that be replaced by a catalogue that is never the same as having an item before you. Perhaps they're going a little too far with distant sales and losing their way a bit
