Lodmoor Pitch & Putt
Nice setting but greens were in an incredibly poor state - so bad that putting was almost pointless. Yes, there has been a drought but there was no obvious sign of the greens having been watered. A rude greenkeeper demanded that my daughter tee-off from the matt, despite the rubber tee being broken - then aggressively “offered” us a refund if we refused. Not cheap either - £8 for adults and £6 for juniors for nine holes. A missed opportunity and probably best avoided. Click on the “photos” tab to see the state of the greens (and bunkers).

A good cheap but small course. I would strongly recommend to take and use your own clubs and not use the ones they provide - they have a limited selection of very cheap and extensively used clubs and will have no hesitation to charge you £10 should you break one

My sons first experience of golf & he loved it. Friendly customer service, great fun & spacious grounds. Would highly recommend a visit.

Ideal place for a learner to practice. Nice course reasonably well looked after. Tee offs in need of a bit of attention but perfectly useable. Can park for free outside golf reception and paid 5.00 pp for the nine holes. Will use before going to posher places.

Ideal for families looking for a bit of fun. Holes are between 50-100 yards with lots of trees lining the holes. Best to get there early if you want to play 18 holes as it tends to close early (3.30pm) on some days. Clubs and balls provided and you put them in a special bin at the end so they can be cleaned before their next use.

So.... After travelling from Yeovil (1.45hours) we pulled up and paid parking to then find out that the great pithch and putt is closed , yet online it clearly states open at 10am ... Will not be returning

What a little gem Weymouth has in this Pitch and Putt course. Immaculately kept and a challenge with the course being updated regularly. Dogs are allowed on Leads and kept under close control.

Never knew about this pitch and putt course. Was very reasonably priced for what you got. It's only a nine hole course but you can pay to do the 18 hole (the 9 hole twice). Apparently this place has been around for thirty plus years according to the guy in the Hutt.

Love it here, quiet, out the way, always come here when in Weymouth, gutted its shutting down. Even more gutting as I parred on my last visit.
