Harvest Moon
The Harvest Moon is a great pub for a drink, particularly with its large beer garden. However, food standards have slipped somewhat. Portions are small and food is poorly prepared.I ordered the Hunters Chicken, I had to scoop the mass of melted cheese and bacon from two flat pieces of chicken that were drowning in barbecue sauce, there was literally a small handful of chips (ordered as an extra), and the mash was a solid, dehydrated mass! Truly, it was terrible, how far this pub has fallen when it comes to food. Friends ordered other 'classic' options; the pie and mash which also had dried, hard mash; chicken nuggets (four tiny nuggets and a small handful of chips for a child); Katsu Curry - bland and uninspired - all were disappointing without exception. The pub has lovely staff, it is a great place for a drink as mentioned (although prices are eye watering), it just the food is a huge disappointment.

A wonderful visit to the Harvest Moon for lunch. The staff were friendly and the food was great. The value for money was exceptional.

Service was really really good.. very friendly and polite...The food was not good because they didn't have any gas so they couldn't cook any food for me...I did attend an event and we had a buffet (food was ok.. little greasy on some but overall was nice.. ) and the food did come out bits at a time due to the issue with the gas...I didn't really notice any other atmosphere within due to it not being to busy and our event took up a small area...I would like to try again as I want to try out the food properly.

A lovely pub with great ambience. Came here with family for late lunch on a weekday. We chose a quieter part of the restaurant. The food was amazing. The staff were friendly and professional. Parking for guests was free, but just remember to enter your number plate. Highly recommended. Will definitely come back again.

Six of us visited for Sunday lunch. Great setting but badly let down by the staff. The kitchen was not coping with the numbers and we were told certain desserts including cold offerings, were off the menu because the pub only had one oven! Waiting staff were unclear about the drinks they offered and two of our number were dairy intolerant but there were no milk alternatives. Badly need to sort out the kitchen and train the waiting staff. The pub wasn’t overly busy but we felt the meal was chaotic. I had planned to take another group of friends there later this month but sadly I won’t be going back.

Every time I visit the Harvest, I always expect better. The atmosphere and venue are fantastic but the food and service ALWAYS disappoint. The food is quite clearly microwaved - rock solid brussel sprouts which are cold in the middle, plasticky potatoes with white spots and lukewarm gravy. This isn’t the first time I’ve complained. Last time I braved the restaurant, we accidentally got served meat instead of the vegetarian dish we ordered. When I say the service was bad, I don’t mean friendliness. Everyone FOH was lovely - perhaps it’s just an issue with the kitchen. When a place has such a large menu, you can always assume nothing is cooked fresh. I’ve genuinely had better school dinners. I don’t speak for the whole group I went with - only myself. I probably wouldn’t have left this review but I’ve woken up with an awful, awful stomach.Not to mention starters didn’t arrive til 8.40pm and mains till after 9pm. I ended up asking my dessert to go because we were quickly approaching 10pm and no sign of the end in sight.

The location of the pub is nice. Good selection of food and drinks. Easy access for all. Parking - make sure you put your registration in or you will be charged £100. There is stuff for children to play on outside. The quality of the food is average but they were willing to cover the cost of a meal as compensation. Overall I wouldn't visit again even if it was just a bad day at the office for their cook.

Lovely place to come for a pint and food. Clean, good music, great decor and very caring staff. Menu looks professional with fair prices. Laura P, Finn and Archie were very attentive and shown a great costumer care.Beer garden is well decorated with many seating areas.Definitely a place I would like to visit again.
