Phoenix Futures

Although phoenix taught us a lot and helped us through detox ect I don't feel like it helped us as much as I maybe expected. We had to make the most difficult decision that I've ever made and left early because of the way we was made to feel by staff and peers. I was frustrated that things like getting the heating fixed wasn't a priority especially because the house is full of babies. We shared a tiny kitchen hen with others... thee was 9 of us all together including the babies and only had half of one oven working which caused tension within our living quarters. I do appreciate the chance at Phoenix and I couldn't of got even this far without going there but I don't think this place is for everyone and I think staff need to realise that not everyone is the same. The childcare at Phoenix is amazing and I can't thank thm enough. I

Still suffering from the trauma that phoenix house caused me till this day. I was bullied terribly in this facility it was like hell on earth. Management is disgraceful and unprofessional there was lack of staff who were all so miserable over worked and fed up. Therapy and support was non existent, The kitchens and nursery were so grotty and dirty all the babies constantly had thrush and stomach bugs. We were all blackmailed into writing notes about each other about things we didn't like about the person or mistakes they had made or rules they had broken and then forced to read it out in group time. If we refused to do so you wouldn't be allowed out. The environment was so toxic I ended up feeling suicidal. I am writing this in hope it mentally prepares who ever may have to spend time in this place next. I honestly do not know how this nightmarish halfway house has been allowed to stay open or even call its self a rehabilitation center. It was evidently clear who ever sits at the top is completely ripping off the council and lying about the service it provides even the staff at phoenix agreed with this statement. There was no passion or care we were just all cash cows. The thousands of pounds it costs to accommodate just one service user is eye watering, the money could be put to so much more better use and actually make a difference to peoples life's. This place is criminal and needs investigating.

I came to Phoenix sheffield in 2016 with my 8week old baby boy I was on methadone and crack cocaine and heroin every day.i was using drugs every day for about 10 years and never thought I would be able to stop!!! This service has totally changed my life I've been clean for 3 years now and feel very strong that I wont go back to my old life my life is amazing now and that is all thanks to the great staff at the family service for giving me my life back

I went to phoenix 2021 untill 2022 with my partner and son it has changed my life i fsut againsted every rule and boundry untill the penny dropped i left with my son and partner and doing well thank you phoenix paulene polly orla makaila and cloe " but nicola i love your dedication and honnesty x"
