Love this place its cool lots of water sports to do nice walks around the area

St Mary Island (self guide) walk route.I really love my morning walks through St Mary Island. Such a lovely, calming & friendly area with nice views.Very well developed area and transformation from chatham dockyards whilst preserving its history of the royal maritime heritage.

Just a nice place to go for a run through or just sit and chill

This is a fantastic marina. Bus stop to Chatham town and Rochester is by the shopping centre next to the marina. The lock keepers were helpful and friendly. I would 100 percent recommend this place. Bonus was its also walking distance to Chatham Maritime Museum. Well worth a fulldays visit. Thanks to lock keeper Neil who made us feel so welcome on our arrival.

Although this is a good marina in a good location the lock gates fail too often (fourth time this year) and there is no urgency to get them fixed when they fail. Update: lock is still not operational after 4 days and we keep getting mixed messages.

Absolutely brilliant service we have had from this marina, My partner bought a boat and we are new boaters and they have given us so much advice and have been so lovely and helpful and the actual marina is lovely and full of lovely people and the toilets and showers are brilliant and sometimes in the office they put out cakes and drinks for the berth holders and they hold competitions too , the staff go above and beyond and check the marina and boats several times each day / night and really keep a tight ship to keep the standards up. Very happy, they also don't just talk to my partner they also include me in the conversations and help me with anything we need. The facilities are clean and tidy.

We had a great day, boarding a warship, then a submarine. We enjoyed the RNLI lifeboat display, what an incredible institution. The Ropery was the jewel in the crown as far as we were concerned, stepping back in time to see how ropes were made 400 years ago and still made today! The site is vast so get your walking shoes on, it’s all level though so thoroughly enjoyable. There are plenty of places to picnic or enjoy the on site cafes. Obviously, access to the ships and the submarine are subject to physical capabilities. Plenty of toilet facilities and good play areas for children with activities for them to enjoy.

Great Staff and good facilities, I visit often for my fixed price yacht brokerage.The staff are always very helpful and help my buyers and sellers alike, even when the boats are moving off MDL moorings

Just had a walk in the sunshine with my daughter. Nice and relaxed, the marina looked lovely and we had iced coffee and a cake from a pop up shop. Very nice.
