Mislead by staff at this office over a temporary position with the Land Registry. Claiming to me that it was open to people applying for full-time work only. Not true. As explained my circumstances (of being a carer to my special needs daughter) to Land Registry. They responded saying that they would be happy to interview me for a part-time role. Brook Street then came back 'claiming' that priority would be given to applicants/candidates applying for full-time work only. It was at this point I'd had enough of dealing with this 'agency'. They'd lost my trust through their advice/false information given (I also expect someone from this place will be along shortly asking him to relay my concerns through their 'feedback form' - a complete waste of time that would be too as they're clearly not interested in improving their services - as the numerous negative reviews online demonstrate/prove).EDIT: Brook Street have stated on here over a week ago that someone would look into this and get back to me. To date, they have not got back to me. I've received no telephone call nor email. Nothing. This lot are a joke and only respond on here to present a professional/fair image and to save face.

Dealing with Charlotte at Brook Street (Newcastle) was a joy. Within the same day, Charlotte gave me information about three positions available. Which were more in line with the jobs I was applying for through other agencies and employers.Yesterday I had an interview and got the job :)Charlotte was honest, open and quite often very amusing. She outlined what was happening each step of the way and helped me out when I was struggling to access the interview.I recommend Brook Street wholeheartedly and I’m hoping that my placement will become permanent; but if not, I know Charlotte is still looking out for me. Thank you! Sharon ❤️

Well, all I can say is AVOID AVOID AVOID! They do not respond to emails or voicemails, very unprofessional, although the girl I spoke too who did my telephone interview was lovely, I tried to get in touch to explain I was having difficulty with the vetting form, but nothing. Luckily I never handed my notice in at my current job. The reviews speak for themselves really! Don't deserve one star, but only way to add a review.

Can’t fault Brook Street. Found work with them during pandemic and recruitment process was a lot more coherent than other employment agencies I have used and was always payed on time. They dealt with enquiries swiftly and I went on to apply for and secure permanent work within Civil Service as my time spent via Brook Street provided a good entry route/background experience.

Getting hold of someone at this company is like you no what in the wind.I would highly recommend anyone to avoid this company.I have made 17 attempts to call all no response to just there and I spoke to Eve who said she is in day service which basically was no help at all and refused point blank to give me a number to speak to someone in payrollI hate to think what would happen if someone was working for these clowns and there was a pay query.HONESTLY AVOID THIS FIRM!!!!

I was desperate to find a temp job due to redundancy at very short notice so called Brook Street as I herd they were very good. Spoke to Charlotte who agreed to help me get sorted and sent me a bunch of paperwork to sign and send back with ID. Which I did. Agreed to have a zoom call the next day at 4pm but Charlotte did not show up! Waited 15 mins before calling the office to ask where she was as this was a pre arranged meeting. Lady on the phone stumbled about a bit and came up with the excuse Charlotte was “out the office… erm..had to leave unexpectedly…erm… sorry” ( don’t think anyone knew where she’d gone)I asked if anyone else could take my call as I’m available and was told no. I asked if Charlotte knew she had meetings in her diary why no one else was picking them up…My details were taken and I was promised a callback. A WEEK passed and NO ONE BOTHERED.Thanks guys. I actually called another temp agency who found me a job and I start soon.I definitely would not recommend Brook Street as they clearly don’t have a clue.

In my experience, a helpful, understanding and very professional recruitment agency. Staff are always available and respond to questions promptly and courteously and continuously offer support. Would recommend over other agencies.

After recently being made redundant, I found this agency extremely helpful, whenever I've either spoken with a member of staff or via email, the replys have always been quick and professional, Karl was very helpful and took the time to listen to me about a role that I've just been offered.

One star is generous. Fabulous to start with, very communicative and helpful. As soon as I started my job, it seemed all the staff at the Newcastle branch were M.I.A!I'm still awaiting a response from an email I sent weeks ago regarding the current and incorrect pay rate. I've emailed 5 different addresses I have managed to get and haven't heard a peep back. Also, the contact phone number for the Newcastle branch is invalid, so there's no other means of contacting them.So to any staff reading this, if you could kindly reply to the emails I have sent, that'd be great!

Avoid this place at all costs. Only too happy to hire you and it seems great but once you're in, they disappear. They are incapable of inputting holidays in correctly, and have to be chased constantly. They take ages to reply to emails, and never answer questions. Most of the staff are down right rude and just flat out incompetent. Impossible to contact over the phone, all numbers listed are either incorrect or the line just rings and rings, therefore it's impossible to speak to someone directly, and makes it difficult to call in sick or query anything. Expect issues with your pay/holidays/basically everything if you choose to work for this company. Avoid avoid avoid!
