We had a fabulous night at the Old Smiddy. Warm atmosphere, good beer and whiskey, and excellent food. Our hosts could not have been more friendly and accommodating as they were initially fully booked for the night but managed to squeeze us in. As a bonus there was entertainment too with singing and bagpipes! A real bonus!! Totally recommend!!!

Small village inn.Quick service decent surroundings.Sadly the food we had wasnt of the best standard yorkshires seemed to be microwaved and the meat was fatty.Prawn cocktail was just thrown together on a plate.

The Old Smiddy Inn
Wonderful little country inn with fine beer and excellent scotch whiskey. We were entertained by a local celbrity, Ray Bremner, who told stories and sang traditional songs in both Gaelic and English. We were there as part of a tour group and we filled the bar-room to capacity. the owners were biehind the bar and made us feel very much welcome.

Prawn cocktail was like a meal in it's self it was huge, steak n chips cooked to perfection had so much to eat I had no room for pudding :( lovely place to go n staff are very nice n friendly. Photo is of the half eaten prawn cocktail. Went back again had room for pudding this time amazing hot chocolate fudge cake mmmmmmBeen again this time had tattie soup it was to die for and I'm fussy when it comes to soup.Love this place so much we are getting married here next week
