Service very slow, took over an hour to get a burger. Tried to use order at table service but had to ask where the drinks were in the end. Food quality wasn't great and chips were warm at best.

Not been for food here for awhile. The menu said two courses from the Daytime menu but apparently one of the courses had to be a main! Since when? Anyway, we ordered. The chicken wings were nice. My fish and chips were nice. We'd ordered puddings but only one arrived. I tried to get the attention of our server but was ignored. I thought she'd gone to get mine. After about ten minutes I realised she's not coming back! I had to ask another server.Overall, I think this place is not as good as it used to be.

It was very busy so we were told food could be 30 mins but that was ok. Staff were coping well and very friendly. Food was very good. We had sea bass and the vegan curry followed by sticky toffee pudding. Very nice. An enjoyable night outOnly one issue, car park was flooded in areas

One of my new favourite hangouts. Great food and value for money. Love Rachel's pub quiz and having a catch up with James and Vinny some of the lovely staff.

Thankyou for a wonderful buffet for our mums funeral. The food was fabulous for the price point. The staff were lovely and the function area just right. There was even enough food to take round to other patrons in the pub so as not to waste it.

Very nice food. Service only 4 stars as it is a place where you go to the bar to order your food and not table service, however, from that point onwards the service was excellent and very friendly. The atmosphere is because of the time we went in, so not much going on

the last Sunday roast we had a few weeks ago was awful - we decided to try again (anyone can have an off day) and this was much better. Beef was lovely, but the veg was barely warm and had been sitting on the plate for some time - missed the roast potatoes off the plate but this was rectified quickly and they were hot and very nice. Still room for improvement (and the pub was quiet, testament to the decline in food quality because it always used to be packed out) but heading in the right direction. It is walking distance so we want it to improve.

Website & pub advertised Festive Menu was available. Bar staff gave us copies of menu, but when we tried to of order, were told 'we haven't got that food, so you can't order it' Staff could have told us when we booked in(I had booked the table) or certainly when giving me a copy of Festive Menu. We ordered what was a very average pub mealVery disappointed, Castle Gardens used to be really good. It was chilly in there, too

Went in with family members for lunch and drinks. Value for money meals, which was nicely presented and served by pleasant staff. Lovely desserts to finish . Menu has a wide variety of dishes and light bites, including dietary options. Building is disabled accessible and a free car park ( remember to add car details into the machine on entry) has disabled bays .An enjoyable experience.
