The chips from here were a dream, lovely and golden, cooked to perfection. The woman behind the counter was lovely, and our chips were really cheap for a really generous portion. Very pleased.

Very good fish and chips. We took ours away and some of the batter was a bit soggy, probably better to eat immediately. Very good portion size and great fish.

My wife me and my son were in gairloch on holiday a few weeks ago and decided to have fish and chips for dinner from beachcomber, so glad we did we had three different types of fish (haddock, cod and hake) and I can say with confidence that they were the best fish we had had in years. The batter was nice and crunchy, no grease and the fish inside was cooked to perfection. The chips and curry sauce were also on point. If I'm ever up that way again I'll definitely be going back for more.

Can't fault it. Traditional fish and chips. Fresh and well prepared. A few tables to sit in but primarily for take away. We did sit in as staying at some distance and the weather was damp. Very pleasant.

The best chip shop ever perhaps. Just wonderful food (biggest portions I have ever seen). The lady that served us could not have been nicer - really lovely and friendly and nothing too much bother. I wish we lived closer so we could go more often!

This has to be the best fish & chip supper I have ever had. Cod & chips were delicious. Incredibly friendly & welcoming staff too. We ate in, and there was a steady stream of locals and tourists ordering food. Obviously a very well liked chippy. Highly recommend. Only wish I lived closer!

Excellent fish and chips, and good value too in these costly times. There are four tables inside which are clean and tidy. Big portions and friendly service. Family of five fed and happy for <£50, can't do better in Gairloch.

The place was PACKED when we went in and there were only two people working. They were incredible. Super fast and incredibly nice even with the crowd. The portion was huge---the two of us couldn't finish one adult cod and chips.Photo credit: Jennifer Smith
