It has been a long closure for this venue. But the results are quite stunning the Lantern is now a beautiful place and the main auditorium is amazing! Comfortable seating, great acoustics and reasonable access. One tiny note is that they need more bathrooms and the ones in the new hall need towels or dryers. No doubt this will be remedied and the Beacon will become as loved as the old hall used to be.

Fantastic to be back at Bristol Beacon after the 5 year refurb. Sound seems excellent based on the Ocean Colour Scene gig tonight. Comfortable seats with good leg room and an excellent view from the front row of the lower tier.

We were there today for the Beacon's housewarming" event which was fantastic. All sorts of different acts of a variety of genres. The building was great

We were lucky enough to be involved with a trial concert (our daughter was part of the choir). The venue doesn’t properly open for another couple of weeks so there were quite a few snags, not all seats were installed and not all entrances were in use. However you could already appreciate what a superb space it’s going to be, what a beautiful job has been done, the quality of the materials that have been used and the fabulous acoustic that has been achieved. We were sat in seats in the rear stalls. The seats were comfy although there wasn’t a huge amount of space. The legroom was just about okay for me (I’m just over 6 foot tall). We were in the front row of that section which I think meant we had slightly less room. The view of the stage was really excellent and we could hear the sound of the orchestra and choir very clearly and brightly.Accessing the hall was really easy and smooth. There were plenty of toilets (as you would expect in modern venues.Overall we had a great time and I’m really excited to be back in a few weeks to see the fully the venue again when it’s fully open and to experience the other halls in the venue.

Great new facility. Lovely and spacious. Good prices for drinks. Seating well spaced and comfortable. All seats have a great view of the stage. Only negative, this was our first visit, some of the staff were unhelpful when we asked for the location of our seats, (as they were access seats). The staff just said down there somewhere" she didn't guide us

It's OK, not as grand as I expected, bit woody, neutral, boring and underwhelming. Acoustics are good, but that's it. So much public money spent, but can't see it myself. Attention to detail lacking, the toilets are being blocked up already, not enough hand dryers in the ladies. I've been to x 3 concerts already and issues were apparent.
