PC Tech Centre

Picked up my sons gaming pc to day after a repair. Mark sorted the problem and talked me through what was the problem and what repairs he has done. I'm very happy with the service this is the second time I've used pc tech center and would never go anywhere else highly recommended.

Unfortunately I have to write a bad review for this place. Although Mark and his colleagues are very pleasant, I do not recommend taking your Macbook to be repaired here. Over the course of 4-5 months, after explaining there was water damage, they did not only misdiagnose the problem (saying it was a burnt out part), they did not resolve the problem fully - some of the keys still don't work 100% and the whole keyboard feels loose (even though they replaced the original keyboard for free because of the mistakes they made). Furthermore, I have now found a visible dent on the front of the laptop, where they have obviously prised it away when trying to fix it. I don't want to take it back again, after not having it for so long due to their errors. I was initially told it would be repaired after 2 weeks, which I consider to be a reasonable time to wait for parts etc. But 4-5 months is too long, especially when I had already explained what the problem was, only for it to be misdiagnosed and not fully repaired properly and then damaged to boot. I don't usually like to write bad reviews, esp for small businesses, but I think it is only right that I warn people as to me, these issues are school boy errors and I now have a damaged Macbook.Edited to respond - I was not told the supplier sent the wrong trackpad, which caused the shop's initial delay - I think you would agree, communication is key. The only reason there was a delay on my part in bringing the laptop back, was because I was on holiday for 3 weeks and I was forced to buy a new laptop, due to the initial delays. So when I brought the one that you had 'fixed' back, I didn't turn it on for a week. The damaged keys, were definitely NOT caused by the spill. The spill was ONLY on the trackpad and I know this because I caused the spill, which was not even a sip of my drink - it was a tiny bit of water. ALL of the keys worked before I brought it to you - my only concern was the trackpad. And there most DEFINITELY no dent in my keyboard, further, the first time I took it back, there were screws missing!! I would never have taken the time to write this review, had I thought at any point, it was me that caused the dent, as that would be grossly unfair, to you as a small business. It's a shame that you are now lying about the situation and causes me to now advise the general public, to only take you devices here AT YOUR OWN RISK!!

I’ve used PC Tech several times they are always polite and helpful and no job is too small. Thoroughly recommend their services. Alex was great!

I’ve used the PC tech centre loads for my business- we ordered all our company laptops and screens from them for our staff and they personally delivered them to our office in St Paul’s, London. They have also fixed a broken laptop screen and even fixed a broken button on my laptop today for free!! What a great team of great people providing a fantastic service. Thank you PC Tech Centre!! I would recommend you to all my friends, family and colleagues.

I have used this company many times before over last 15 years. They are always helpful and willing to try to fix my computer no matter what the age of the device Latest problem was laptop not charging As always excellent service. Regular updates on progress. Problem with my laptop was sorted out and the problem explained in non-tech talk. Cost was negligible Would highly recommend. Sandra

I have been going to PC TECH for years now! The only store like it around! Absolutely amazing service from the friendliest staff ever. Always willing to help even if its only small things. I cant thank the team enough! Big shout out to Mark amazing service as always!

My 6 year old Dell laptop had become unbearably slow. So I called PC Tech and spoke with Mark who I thought was particularly courteous and helpful, especially as it was a busy Saturday. I took the laptop into the shop a few days later with the intention of buying another laptop, but upon speaking with Alex who again was strikingly helpful and knowledgeable decided to have the hard disk drive replaced with a solid state one and the RAM increased. Although I was expecting the work to take 2-3 days, the laptop was ready early the next day. I thought the cost was very reasonable, especially as the laptop is now like a completely different machine. It’s massively faster at everything. So I’m well happy and very glad I went there!

Very helpful team who helped me recover all my documents before starting university again. I had an exam in 2 weeks and was worried when my computer would not turn on, but everyone helped revive my laptop on the day so I didn't have to have such a big gap in my time to revise, so they really went above and beyond to help me out. Can't thank them enough!
