Went to UTC today 4th Jan. Arrived about 9am. Checked in quickly, 5th or so in queue. Seen around 9.20 by triage nurse, wound treated with tape. Friendly, efficient and leaving by 9.45. Great service. Thank you

This has been built inthe place the Boots Pharmacy use to be located. It cuts down patients from A&E and if your surgeory dsnt have place for a appointments then you can come here of its urgent to see a doctor.Pleaae be aware ypu may have to wait 3 + hours sometimes if thru are busy or dont have enough staff on.

GWH urgent treatment centre. Efficient, courteous and kind. Have used them three times in the last year. On the third occasion as an alternative to GP. Couldn’t be more pleasant or helpful. Gave me a script to take to on-site Boots where a smiling, pleasant assistant dealt with my prescription quickly. A very different experience to the local surgery and pharmacy.

There are complaints that the NHS is underfunded etc. The urgent care centre at GWH is an example of a public low efficiency institution. Nurse signing you up with a covid related form, then go to reception signing you in again. Then going for a quick check up with two nurses who One can do this job alone. Then you have them walking around in the area with nothing to do. The triage practitioners are coming out every few minutes and they take far too long per patient. I appreciate the work they do, and that they need to.give.good care, no question about it. But when it comes to change the patient they take ages to bring in the other person in.

Shameful treatment of a person with mental health issues. The medical staff need training in this quickly before someone gets badly affected. Reception book in staff are excellent bbut

Sorry to say but I never see any doctors, only I see are nurses who only take details from patients and send home.I was at GWH by ambulance for severe arm pain in January without any medication and reason for my pain.till date for one month I am suffering with swelling painful hand. NHS carfax phone lines are very busy and so are the doctors.

I really don't understand why you are given a time by 111, as when you arrive it 8s no different than just walking in and you wait for hours. Nice facility by time is pointless

In severe pain we rang 111 , they booked us in to the Urgent Care Unit for 6.30pm. We arrived at 6.20pm and checked-in. Patiently waiting 1hour later we still have not been seen but people who arrived after us already been seen. After an hour we asked how long more we have to wait, to which receptionist replied - another 3 hours! Why the hell book us in for 6.30 if you actually can't see us for 4 hours? That's just ridiculous!

Waited 2 hours. Multiple people were seen before me who arrived after me. My pregnant partner missed her appointment on the dau because she had to wait in the car to look after our 2 year old. I walked out.
