I’m sad to give a poor rating to what I expected to be a sweet neighbourhood Cantonese restaurant. The food was ok, but for the price was very small portions and only fair quality. 1/2 crispy duck was quite dry and had almost no meat. Pancakes were raw and cold, not warm at all. Special rice had maybe a few shrimps and no vegi with a couple of pieces of dry chicken, was not special and double the price of egg fried rice. We saw a staff member arrive with boxes of frozen food from the shops and heard the “ding” of a microwave several times. Not confident that the food is made fresh. They are in construction so be careful when heading downstairs to the loo. You’ll have to navigate a cluttered narrow hallway filled with debris and building material.I’m optimistic that this critique will hopefully encourage this cute neighbourhood restaurant to make some much needed improvements.

We were looking for an authentic Chinese food near the Hyde park and found this small food place. We ordered dumplings and fried chili pork. I can say it was freshly cooked and really has a taste of an authentic Chinese food. I would recommend this place to anypne looking for a Chinese food outiside of the China Town.

Stumbled across this place and very glad we did. We ordered dumplings, sweet & sour chicken, corn soup and wanton noodles soup. We were all very happy with the food. It was all very good. As was the green tea. Staff all friendly and attentive. Thank you for the complimentary spring rolls. If we were here longer we would definately come back.

The staff here go above and beyond to make you feel welcomed and to make sure you enjoy your food and experience. We ordered a number of plates to share, one being the homemade chicken soup. It was made Cantonese style which is different than I expected based on the American style of chicken soup I’ve had. As unexpected as it was, I gave it a try and found it to be delicious and much healthier than other versions of the same thing. The broth tasted exactly like chicken noodle soup but with just chicken and a clear broth. A much more natural and healthier version of chicken soup that’s delicious. The manager and wait staff all checked in to make sure we were enjoying the food and experience and educated us on Cantonese cooking and styles. Highly recommend!

Absolutely wonderful service at this quaint little Chinese restaurant. The owner took great care of me and took the time to tell me about the best ways of pairing sauces with my mixed dim sum and the origins of the lovely herbal tea I had for free. Would definitely go back!
