La Steak Parisien

Waited 2 hours for main course, no apologies from the staff had to ask for drinks. One waitress on serving almost 30 people wasn't her fault for the delays but she couldn't cope on her own. Food wasn't bad when it finally arrived. Even have the cheek to ask for service charge 10%, what service?? Stay away unless your desperate for French food.

I had been to this restaurant a few years previously to this weekend and the owner was lovely and food was excellent which is why I decided to book a table for Saturday night as I was going to be in the area. The table was booked for 9 PM on Saturday and we arrived about 10 minutes early. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by a very dis-shelved woman who in an extremely aggressive tone barked at us that there were no tables without even asking if we'd booked. Once we had explained we had booked she then pointed us to a table to sit at, around 10 minutes later we had still not been given a menu or offered a drink. The same lady then came back to our table and actually shouted at us and told us we hadn't booked and we were taking other peoples spaces and we had to leave immediately. We were actually too shocked by the attitude to even speak at the time, so I left it overnight and decided to ring today to speak to the owner and make a complaint about the woman. When I called the same woman answered the phone so I asked to speak to the owner regarding a private matter. The woman refused to let me speak to him and said I could speak to her about whatever it was. I then explained I was actually calling to make a complaint about her she then said I could call back on Tuesday to speak to the owner. Around 5 minutes later I received a call back from the same woman screaming and shouting at me yet again. I had to disconnect the call and I will call back or write to the owner directly to take the matter further.This is a huge shame as I know the food here is amazing but the service is the worst I have ever experienced and because of this I will never ever go back and I certainly wouldn't recommend anyone else there either!!

Highly recommend the French Onion soup.... Even in France, I can't find one to even compare to Jean Claude's!!!

No sorry, my restaurant is empty. I don't open till 7?!?! Allright we will eat somewhere else then with 8. Strange:)

Lovely place , food cooked well, very homely family vibe , treats you like family and therefore is big attraction for families , sometimes on some days device can be a bit slow but don't matter as atmosphere is great , also corkage which is a plus. Family run business.

Such awsome meals - very tasty .... never rushed, Just a wonderful, relaxed atmosphere .... staff lovely.... owner/chef came out to make sure all was ok and to share a little joke or two.... totally welcoming and would recommend in a heart beat.

Wonderful..! Have to admit that I did not expect much after reading trip advisor reviews but my Brother and Sister in law eat here all the time so thought I would give it a shot... Wow..! The food is amazing and the atmosphere is even better..! My Mother in law, Sister in law and myself were taken here by our other halves for mothers day and we were not disappointed.. the food was outstanding and yes you do wait a while but come on... it is not a chain restaurant..! Proper food cooked fresh - not from a microwave..! We have already booked my Hubby birthday and mine In advance..! X

Terrible service, something out of a comedy sketch! Such a shame food doesnt live up to much, as such a good sounding menu. Sweet trolley was very good, obviuolsy better making desserts than the meal itself!

Arrived got seated quickly took a drinks order eventually took half of our food order then disappeared came back telling us we hadn't booked (we had) eventually took the rest of our order. Food is gorgeous service is pants
