Lincolnshire Wolds Railway (Ludborough)

Lovely place in the middle of nowhere.Well signposted with Brown Touris Signs off the A16 Grimsby Road.Gentle steam train ride, be perfect when they are able to afford to extend the line to Louth. (So when you visit, do donate something.)Very friendly & very helpful staff.They even offer a ramp and assistance for access into a special coach for wheelchairs and disability buggies (& pushchairs).Nice buffet static coach tea room. Hot/cold drinks & snacks.Little souvenir shop.Toilets on other platform, includes a disabled one too.A good day out for the whole family.Also there is a Little second hand shop in the carpark

Amazing experience once you've paid for your ticket can travel up and down the line from 10.45 to 2.45, my elderly father in law uses a mobility scooter and the rear carriage has a ramp and open space so it can be stored in there, very accomodating.The carriages are absolutely beautiful with very comfortable seating.Amazing to see the guys getting the coal ready when the train gets back to ludborough for the next run out to north thoresby.At ludborough there are toilets on the other side of the tracks, also the steaming kettle which is very well priced for food and tea coffee etc.North Thoresby has a little snack shop with drinks also.Thoroughly enjoyed it, will be visiting again for the Halloween and santa specials

Nice little heritage railway, not the longest of trips, and just a there and back, but lots of capacity and well worth a visit. A must for anyone in the neighbourhood

Nice little line.Not the longest, but they have big ambitions and a big heart.A nice enough place in the countryside for a quiet ride. And the engine that pulled my train was immaculate.Recommend a visit if you are a railway enthusiast, or knows someone who likes trains.

Brilliant experience on the Santa special. The elves were brilliant and really entertaining. Santa was great, really liked how he greeted all the children by name. Great presents for the kids. We had a fantastic time.We had a quick snack in the buffet car which was really reasonably priced.Great to see how the railway has developed over the past few years. We will be back next year.

Nice place to visit. Has a small but compact museum. A buffet car which has hot sandwiches, cake and fairy buns, can sit in 1st class to eat. Has days when the steam train runs, need to check the website for when it runs. Friendly staff.

It is one of the best experiences you can have in East Lindsey.The train itself is wonderful, the staff are fantastic & polite & the journey was fun & scenic.We went in the summertime, and I've always had fond memories of Lincolnshire Wolds Railway, as in my early 20s, I was part of a reenactment group that performed in shows on the tracks.If you want an experience that's unique & adventurous, this is the attraction for you, they even have a dog friendly carriage.
