We are doing Dirty Dancing at The Regent Theatre here. Google Maps has it about .1 of a mile north of here. It is actually 39 Piccadilly, walking only. The stage door is right just around the corner from the punter’s entrance. The theatre itself is beautiful and fantastically equipped. Lots of backstage space and great sight lines. The acoustic is excellent and audiences are completely engaged. This is my favourite theatre so far on the tour. I’m certainly getting my exercise walking the Stoke-on-Trent hills!

We saw Jurassic Live here and most of the staff were friendly, polite, and helpful.Snack are overpriced, drinks are reasonable. The toilets are slammed in intermissionGift shops are super overpricedStaff shout at people on phones during the show, which is both good and badSeat labelling needs to be improved as it’s hard to find your seat and lots of confused people, tickets do not say which entrance to use either

Thank you for the brilliant Calendar Girls show we watched last evening. The cast, to an actor, was absolutely wonderful. The humour, pathos, script, songs what a feeling of well-being for everyone in the audience. The best show we’ve watched in a long time. Thank you one and all.

Went to see six. Venue nice and clean, tidy with friendly staff. Plenty of drinks options and prices not too bad either for a captive audience. Being 6ft 1 seats are normally an issue after an hour: but these were surprisingly comfortable.

Went to see Aussie Pink Floyd. Excellent show. Drinks expensive, ushers could be friendlier, just seem stressed. Great building and comfortable seats. Did I mention the drink prices? £6.40 for a water and a Pepsi Max. C'mon. You must realise this is ridiculous!

Have been to many theatres across the UK, but never one where they don't have stewards by the Auditorium doors directing people to their seats. There are not even any signs indicating which door to use. So consequently as you going in there people coming out as they are trying to find their door.I would say it perhaps as they all on the Bars but certainly not on the upstairs one which only had two.I can never understand the logic of having two people, but one taking the money and one serving the drinks, this makes service really slow. Especially when you have someone in front of you who wants to have a think about what they want to drink. So you then have two staff members watching them decide. The show was 5 minutes late starting presumably given the large queue when we went in at 7.25pm.Toilets are pretty grim and in need of a refurb and more of them.A minor point, why on earth two weeks before the start of the Panto season would you have run out of chocolate ice cream.Good legroom and rake on the seats, so good view.
