Torwoodlee Golf Club

What a little gem this place is! Set in a really picturesque valley we could not believe the quality of the course. It’s a workout as the climbs are huge as well as some of the descents. But it’s a beautiful course. I loved playing here. There are some amazing looking holes here.

A return annual visit to Torwoodlee for our party of 8 (4 from Aberdeen and 4 from Yorkshire). Always greeted with a very warm welcome and relaxed attitude.As we arrived at lunchtime we had arranged to have soup and sandwiches before playing but due to the two catering ladies being ill, this wasn't possible. However, two of the members kindly offered to russel up a some hot rolls; bacon, sausage, black pudding etc, or sandwiches for us, which was very good of them and most welcomed.Thanks for your hospitality, gents.The course, as usual, was in very good condition and the warm, fair weather made it that more enjoyable.Torwoodlee is a cracking course, set in beautiful surroundings and is well worth a visit.

Lovely course and really good food.

Normal had a great welcome at Torwoodlee, been going over 15 years, but in attempting to book for this year they struggled to accept an Open Fairways reduction despite it being on the O/F website. Eventually they honoured the reduction but in the couple of weeks it took to get back to me I'd booked somewhere else. Shame it's a good course but either they want visitors or they don't??

Fantastic course in excellent condition, really enjoyed the round, greens well cared for, views are spectacular, true gem this, layout takes a bit of understanding, pin flags would benefit from being numbered. Hole 5 is a peach .. 350 yards off the hillside, managed to connect with the ball and got on the green in one... Has to be played if you are in the boarders area . A+++

Great little course with some very interesting holes (especially the 6th), clubhouse is ok and changing facilities good.Staff were very friendly and accommodating, making us feel really welcome. Great little club would definitely go back and play again.

Hidden gem of a course, great condition and amazing views. Lovely clubhouse and friendly staff and members. An absolute joy of a day out.

Absolutely cracking golf course, be ready for a climb though.

The course is in very good condition, with several quirky holes, greens quite fast and with the slopes on the greens, so misread and you're punished, turning single puts to three. The views are amazing, however my only issue is the sloping fairways and huge changes in elevation, makes it quite punishing on anyone with joint issues, so probably best to use a buggy.
