We had a fabulous meal with great service. A special shoutout is due to Harry, the barman, whose humour and attentive service significantly enhanced our dining experience. His recommendations were spot-on, and his friendly demeanour made us feel right at home.

Whatever you do, don't expect to visit here to enjoy a quiet meal.The first ominous sign that all would not be well was making a table reservation days ahead, and arriving to find it allocated to a knee-high table in the lounge area. Moved to the dining area at the back of the pub (which was almost empty) then went to look at the drinks. Pointing at the draught pumps, I asked if it was okay to try something. Honestly great experience staff were so friendly and is a great venue. With loads of cool events. Special mention to Georgia, who was an absolute legend. She made us feel so welcomed and is just a great uni student. Definitely coming again!!!

Food was great. I miss the chicken platters though they were great. Georgia the young girl is absolutely fantastic, she helped me get a taxi home one evening as my phone died…lovely young lady! Hope to be back soon.

I don't recommend to go there. At 8 p.m. kitchen waa closed. I can understand if there is no people, so they close 1 hour earlier but don't put 1M big ads in front of the restaurant that till 9p.m.

We walked in to have an afternoon tea and ordered 5 mix & share pub plates. They are nice little dishes and tasty. Our table is close to the windows facing river side. Nice view and quiet. The waiter is very helpful and friendly. Order was made easily via apple App. Definitely we will visit again.

We organised a baby shower in the pub. The entire experience was so easy and lovely. The mum to be loved it!We had our own area, the staff was always very friendly and available for any requests and they were flexible to accommodate our changes, requirements etc.The food was lovely. We ordered food and drinks in advance so it was ready on arrival and then added to the order during the event. They were very ready and helpful to catered to some of our special dietary requirements.The location is also lovely, just by the river, with an outside area.I would definitely recommend The Outlook for events and also just for a meal or a drink.

Great drinks selection and great atmosphere. I have visited a few times for the monthly Drag shows run by Iota Events in the downstairs bar. Lovely to see the bar supporting and providing a space for the queer scene in Reading

Out of all the pubs in reading The Outlook is by far and away one of if not the best in reading. Always clean very friendly and welcoming. And a wonderful selection of drinks. And from personal experience are certainly worth a visit, one of them I think her name was Georgia was even nice enough to sit with my girlfriend while she wasn’t feeling well. All that said if your looking for a place to drink or even play a few games of pool with some friends The outlook is top tier

Had an amazing time playing shuffleboard, big shout out to Harry behind the bar for his for his professionalism, chivalry, friendliness and just overall a down to earth guy! Would definitely recommend to friends and family!
