Crossings Motorhome Tours

We have been on 5 of the Crossings tours in as many years and have enjoyed each and every one of them immensely. We have found all of their tours to be varied and interesting. Crossings are big on giving their tours a personal touch and you really feel Bob, Wendy and the other leaders are not just looking after you throughout the tour, but are also your best friends. The personal attention and time that is taken to ensure everyone on the tour is completely happy and comfortable is impressive. Looking back on our Crossings holiday experiences we can't think of any negatives and would really struggle to come up with any suggestions for improvement. We thoroughly recommend Crossings to all Motorhomers who are looking for a carefree touring holiday in Europe.

Very well run trips, Wendy and Bob go above and beyond to ensure everything runs smoothly, one of our group was poorly, and one went with the group on the coach tour, the other hired a car and took the customer to the doctors personally. I can not recommend crossings motorhome tours enough. Catherine and I have booked again for 2024, cant come soon enough.I wish there was 10 stars.The tour leaders Andy and Rebecca are a great asset to the success of the tours, we have met some great people on this trip.

Liz and I completed our first ever tour to Europe in our motorhome in 2022 and we chose to be guided by Crossings Motorhome Tours.The information available on the website was very helpful in choosing which tour we would like to experience and we picked Austrian & Swiss Alps.Communication from Bob and Wendy, the Co owners of Crossings was second to none. The amount of information they gave us leading up to our departure date was invaluable and by far exceeded our expectations. The “pre tour” information “travel pack” Bob sent us, really gave us all the information and tips we needed to ensure we were fully prepared for journey.We all met as a group the night before our tour on a campsite very close to the ferry terminal. This isn’t a compulsory group meeting, but as well as being complimentary, it was also a good way to meet others travelling on the same tour and we also received a very informative “briefing” on what we should expect at the ferry terminal and our channel crossing for our first day of travel.Part 2 of the “travel pack” had already been given to us prior by Bob was divided up into sections. Each section had the details of the campsite we would be heading for along with coordinates for sat navs etc, contact numbers for Bob & Wendy in case of emergencies, information on motorway tolls etc. There was also mileage charts and maps with options to choose a direct route or slightly deviated route to each destination on the tour, with suggestions/descriptions of lots of “points of interest” we could visit along the way.We were free to take take as long as we needed on each leg of the journey as there is absolutely no requirement to travel in “convoy”, although it was inevitable not to bump into friendly faces of others on the tour visiting some of the tourist attractions Bob and Wendy had suggested.Each campsite we stayed at was very clean, well organised and again, our “tour pack” had so much local information included from local transport to all the various things to do on and off site, as well as information and advice always available from our tour guides.All in all we had a great experience, fabulous holiday and met some lovely friends along the way.We, along with lots of others that have had repeat tour’s with Crossings Motorhome Tours know what good value and organisation they offer on their tours.Our next one is booked, see you soon Bob & Wendy for our Lake Garda holiday tour in May … looking forward to seeing you.Best wishes for your future successDoug & Liz xx

After a good number of trips to Northern Europe under our own steam, Sweden felt like a step too far. Crossings made that step easy for us. Trips to Italy and France have followed, all with their trademark attention to detail combined with a sensible approach.In a nutshell, we like the way they do business!

As experienced Motor-homers over the past 30 years we have joined a number of escorted tours but none have come up to the standard of Crossings tours with their very detailed and carefully planned itineraries. This allows the options of either a relaxed drive taking in various places of interest on the way or straight to the next site without the worry of finding a site at the end of the day. With the option of meeting up the night before catching the ferry also allows the group to meet and discuss any concerns they may have. The one question most people ask “do we travel in convoy” with escorted tours. The answer is no, as mentioned Crossings provides very detailed instructions which gives the confidence of doing your own thing and knowing the tour guides are waiting to welcome you on site when you arrive. Now in our dotage this gave us the confidence to tour France in June 22 and we enjoyed that so much we went again in September 22 back to France. Should you be new to the Motor-homing life or experienced Motor-homers, Crossings provide one of the best tour itineraries and restrict numbers so you need to book early to enjoy the Crossings experience. We booked our first Crossings Motorhome Tour last year, we had a fantastic trip to Italy with them, all of the group were very friendly and the tour leaders were very knowledgeable and helpful, a comprehensive trip guide was provided with details of campsites that we were staying at and local information. Two routes were included one using the motorways and the other following a more scenic route with mileages and approximate driving times. We have booked a trip with them in 2023 and have just booked a trip for 2024.Need we say more, highly recommended company.Geoff & Alison

Once again Crossings is superb! Wendy and Bob are brilliant in their friendly communication and meticulous planning. Eleanor and Gary as tour leaders were knowledgable, informative, supremely helpful and great fun!I travel as a solo motorhomer and novice driver in Europe, but always feel utterly safe and totally supported by the Crossings team. They use their massive experience to perfect tours according to customer need. Meeting all together in the UK before the ferry journey is the jewel in their glowing crown.Needless to say I have booked again with Crossings for next year! Can’t wait.

We haves toured with Crossings Motorhome Tours on numerous occasions. The tours are always extensively researched and planned. When you go on one of their tours you are given a comprehensive booklet which gives you all the information you will need for your trip. All the campsites, coordinates and a choice of routes. Places of interest in the area are also detailed.You are able to follow your own route if you wish and you just meet up with the rest of your group at the campsites.It is definitely the way to your Europe! Hassle free! All the hard work has been done for you.Bob and Wendy have created a company that is second to none and nothing is too much bother, but they are not intrusive.

A 5 Star rating for a 5 Star company.A touring holiday which I don’t think could be organised any better.From the (optional) overnight in Kent before the ferry to your return to Calais your tour directors are travelling with you, always friendly and approachable and willing to give advice and recommendations, if you ask.It’s quite amazing to see all the different parts of Europe not normally visited on a ‘standard’ holiday, and we haven’t had to do any planning or booking ourselves, it’s all been taken care of by the excellent Crossings Team. The ‘Tour Pack’ is full of useful information, driving routes (both direct and scenic) including suggested places to visit on the way, and detailed instructions on how to find the campsites.You don’t travel ‘in convoy’ but you do get to know your tour party vans and spot them en route, maybe at a recommended place of interest, a monument or even a supermarket car park, and it’s good to know you’re part of a group but you’re also driving independently.And finally, remember there is no strict arrival time at the campsites, so just enjoy your holiday and discover all the wonderful areas you will be driving through.

We have now done 2 tours with Crossings, each one of them excellent and have another booked for later this year and looking to book one with them for 2024. If the tours weren’t any good, we wouldn’t keep booking with them.Bob and Wendy are great tour guides and take all the hassle out of organising trips abroad. All the sites have been vetted beforehand and are excellent. Pre-tour information is comprehensive, and Bob or Wendy are available to answer any questions you may have.Once your holiday starts, they leave you to get on with your own thing but are there if you need them. They are there to meet you at each new site which means once you arrive a pitch is available for you and the group are together; no driving around looking for a pitch!Crossing’s are excellent value for money and I thoroughly recommend them for a Motorhome tour abroad.
