Do you want to wait 24 hours to see a doctor? Deal with staff that can barely speak English and most that can have such a deep accent that they can barely be understood. Be disrespected and ignored at every turn regardless of your pain or the severity of your situation? Perhaps you’d like a life threatening condition to go unnoticed and ignored due to terrible mismanagement of resources and management mixed with incompetent and uncaring staff which eventually leads to the death of yourself or a loved one?Speaking from experience you can expect to receive all of the above at Hereford County Hospital. Avoid at all costs, go elsewhere.Third world healthcare to be ashamed of.

The care in A&E today was brilliant. I brought a friend in, who had fallen on ice and fractured her arm. Nurse practitioner Amy and frailty team nurse Judy were particularly caring and thorough. They cared from my friend with kindness and compassion. Thank you.

I would like to thank all staff involved in my son Jay's care when he came in on a emergency with a appendicitis and had to have surgery. The care from A and E, surgery staff, froome ward, and when he was readmitted to day surgery ward was all exceptional throughout his stay and I am so very grateful for the care he received. I would also like to thank and draw attention to a extremely kind security gentleman in a grey uniform who went above and beyond his job role ensuring he found a phone charger for myself when I was stuck in the middle of the night with a flat phone, I will forever be grateful for your continued kindness throughout that night at a time when I truly needed it.

As always an absolute terrible service provided by Hereford A&E. I feel so sorry for people who have had to wait longer than I have. I came to A&E this evening via ambulance with a suspected kidney infection. I have no memory of collapsing or becoming unwell .. I was told that I was very confused and couldn’t even remember my own name. The only person who provided support was the lovely security guard by the name of Kai. I came back round from the episode of severe confusion wondering why I was here and how I got here in the first place. The nurses and doctors that I asked for advice seemed too preoccupied and uninterested to provide the reassurance and care that I so desperately needed. I had to wait ages literally hours for much needed pain relief food and squash. The security guard went above and beyond for me and I am extremely grateful to him. As for the nurses and doctors .. well I am utterly appalled at this poor service and bad attitude from staff has unfortunately been exactly the same for over a decade that I have lived near the area and been a patient many times due to health and mental health. In conclusion Hereford A&E is an absolute disgrace. Don’t even bother! Unless you want to wait for over 6 hours to be seen no matter how unwell you are and whist you’re waiting you can put up with the rude nurses who need to learn decent manners.I really wish I could afford private health care. I hope to god I never have to come back to Hereford A&E … if I do I shall be walking out as soon as possible. Thanks for nothing guys.

Experiencing very high blood pressure, rang 111. They arranged for me to go to Hereford A&E. The staff there were helpful and pleasant but the waiting time was around 7 hours. Gave up and managed to see a doctor at my surgery instead, should've tried that in the first place. Been to A&E before but like the rest of the NHS it's gone down hill.

Very clean and tidy. Friendly and efficient reception staff. Was seen on time and consultation useful.Parking just outside for less able patients although big downside is cash payment machine (I never carry cash so unable to buy a ticket) - bit quaint!

Having my eyes tested at BBR and subsequently being sent immediatelyto A&E after an issue was found I was unaware of was a scary experience but the a&e eye department made me feel relaxed. The second visit, which was on Friday, was equally impressive. I felt at ease and relaxed, confident that I was in the best hands. The team made me feel like I was their sole focus, despite the presence of many others waiting. Thank you NHS
