Wonderful roast lunch. Really helpful friendly staff couldn't do enough. Glad I took my wrap though it was a bit chilly. Beautiful and very clean throughout. Prices and menu good.

A great place for Friday evening drinks and a sharing board! Staff were lovely and prices reasonable. Will definitely be back.

Enjoyed a festive lunch for a table of 8 today.I was umming and arring between 3 local eateries and opted for the Seahorse because of the choice in menu.I easily booked the table and paid a deposit a week or so before.Upon arrival, the table was beautifully laid out, with Christmas decorations and crackers, candles and a true Christmas atmosphere with festive music playing in the background.Because we had pre-ordered our food, once drink orders were received, our starters arrived. All of the selection had been well prepared, served precisely and tasted delicious. Our mains came along shortly after, and a few of the party had ordered steaks. They were presented beautifully and cooked to perfection. The onion rings and chips were heavenly, every item on the plate having its own flavour. The salmon was cooked beautifully, with a crispy skin and side dishes full of flavour. Of course we can't forget the Traditional Turkey roast. Succulent and extremely tasty.Dessert did not disappoint. Christmas pudding packed a punch with alcohol, the bread and butter pudding, like home made and the New York cheesecake and Trillion Tart did not disappoint. The service was excellent throughout, with the staff on hand to take more drink orders and clear the table. The Seahorse gave excellent value for money, within a beautiful setting, friendly staff and wonderful service. If I had to give a rting out of 10 it would be a worthy 10.5

A clean friendly place, with inside and garden seating. Just a shame they don't do food apart from crisps and nuts which would certainly attract more custom being near Stokes Bay, depending of course on prices.

Recently reopened, it was a quiet period on a Thursday afternoon, my cask ale was not great, and our table was sticky, which considering how quiet it was could only have been from previous night? Get the basics right and all is good, they haven't on this occasion and that isn't good enough. Wasn't impressed but perhaps a 1 off? Time will tell.

After looking at previous reviews and photos of the roast dinner my partner and I were excited to visit.Unfortunately we were left bitterley disappointed. The meats (beef and chicken) were overcooked and dry with the beef looking like pre-cooked beef from a packet. The potatos were undercooked with them being very hard in the middle. In terms of stuffing we had one very small hard stuffing ball which looked like it had come from frozen. The runner beans were very soppy and overcooked. The only good part of the meal was the cauliflower cheese which was brilliant. The waitress was nice although inexperienced. They were missing the basics and didn't even offer condiments for the dinners. I had to go to the bar to ask for salt and pepper. When I raised our grievances with the waitress she said that she would tell the chef. There was no apology at all all or an offer of goodwill. My partner was chilly throughout the meal and had to wear her jumper over her shoulders. After comparing what we received to other photos, it appears that we got a much worse service. Overall we were left disappointed and will not be visiting again.

Amazing find. Limited menu but an excellent selection that means there is a good choice of starters, mains and deserts. Lots of seating inside and out, the outside seating has some under cover and comfortable tables/chairs. Friendly staff and no pressure, you can relax and enjoy the evening. I had the mussels, can highly recommend them as well as the calimari. Definitely on the list for a return visit!

Having had a decent meal here previously when visiting. Chose to go there, was told only Booking was @ 17:30 as only 1 chef. We ordered medium rare steak ..1 was cooked Medium rare, the other more well done.. The waitress took it away, then came back a while later with another one supposedly medium rare.. On cutting into it was rare . I tried to eat a piece but too rare.. I told her I would have just the fries (also my friend had finished his meal before my replacement had arrived). We did have desert also.. On leaving and paying the bill - we were charged fully for my steak - very disappointed, no apologies offered!!

It was a bit quiet but got busier later. New management and very clean and tidy. The special was gammon steak, and it was excellent. Especially as it was under £10.The only down was the lack of ales. I guess they're finding out what sells.I'm sure I'll be back.

Stopped here for quick lunch as working in the area. I ordered Nachos with cheese from the bar snacks menu. What a disappointment, it was awful!! Burnt dried out nachos which had turned like parchment paper! Service was questionable, I won't be back.
