Arthur Rank Hospice Charity

My mother has been here for the last four weeks of her long and healthy life. No one could have taken care of her better than the staff at Arthur Rank, they are all angels, doctors, nurses, health care workers, cleaners, tea/ water people, volunteers, they are amazing. I thank them all from the bottom of my heart, for taking such good care of my mum.

Very pleased how they looked after my Kim till the end. However despite many assurances that I would be looked after in my grief, nobody helped me from the day after she had passed. No response to my requests for help. It is now 7 months, and it still hurts so much.

My Father spent his last days here and I cannot thank the staff enough. The compassion and gentleness shown was outstanding. I really felt they treated my father as if he was their own family. They are angels without wings xxx

I cannot thank Arthur Rank Hospice enough for the extremely kind and compassionate care my grandad received. I have worked in care for 10 years and I have never encountered a team so intune with the care needs of both patients and families. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

The Arthur Rank hospice is a lovely place. The staff are so lovely and helpful. Their attitude is so friendly and pleasant.

My Mum was admitted to the Arthur Rank, as were her wishes, when her fight against Motor Neurones Disease was coming to an end. Firstly, the building itself is wonderful as are the grounds. It didn't feel clinic, it was like being in your own home, roomy & relaxing. I loved the Arthur Rank as soon as I walked in, & all my pre-conceived ideas of what to expect from a hospice, were so very wrong. My Mums husband was able to sleep next to her bed every night, my Sister & I had a suite upstairs, if it wasn't such sad circumstances, it could have passed as a lovely weekend getaway.The Doctors took their time to get to know us all individually & about any children & spouses we have. They anticipated everything we could possibly need. I cannot speak any higher about the Doctors, nurses, catering members, & cleaners. Everyone were so polite & would constantly ask if there was anyway whatsoever to make our stay more comfortable, during this harrowing time. So if us, the family were treated so well, you can come to your own conclusions about how they treated our Mum/Wife & Friend to many, during het last days & hours. I feel it deserves more recognition for what it does for families & the dying. I would give it 10 stars if i could. I just rang one of the Staff Members who looked after us, while on the night shift, & before I could even thank her for what she did for us, & it's more than her job role requires, she asked me if myself, my Sister & Dad were all ok, & remembered our names.I wish I could say these members of staff, who watch, feel & see so much misery that life throws at you, but on a daily basis for them, are paid for the considerable job they do. They are so underpaid for the service they give. It's hard to fake" a smile on a 12 hour shift

I think this hospice does an amazing job. My mother was a patient here in Cambridge. She was really well looked after by the staff and we were also made to feel very comfortable and relaxed in such a trying time. We as a family would like to give a big thank you to all the staff.

Arthur Rank Hospice: Was invited to visit as a relative on behalf of my mother. The location is on the outskirts of Cambridge. Next to the Babraham Park and Ride where you can park free to access theHospice. There is parking on site for staff and the disabled. The building is very modern light and airy. There is a welcome reception, hairdressers and restaurant. The restaurant can be used by the general public during the day. Specialist staff and doctors are onsite to treat inpatients and outpatients. Volunteer staff and nurses are very helpful. There are well managed grounds and gardens around the site to enjoy. All in alla place that is more than my idea of a hospice.

I cannot thank arthur rank hospice enough for all the kindness and care given to my wife mary tuck she loved the living well service as did myself we couldn't wait for the next time to return your staff are wonderful so caring nothing too much trouble all your volunteers deserve my praise as well ❤ so God bless you all my eternal gratitude RON TUCK aka BIG RON
