A warm and friendly welcome every time. Helpful and patient staff who really know their stuff! We've been coming to Jamie Ward's (formerly McArdle's) since we moved to the village several years ago and they've always been brilliant. The quality of the food is second to none.Currently two at a time in the shop due to the pandemic, I've never had any issue with this or seen anyone else have a problem. Mentioning this after reading a recent review which seems very out of the ordinary.Highly recommended!

Maybe good but a really bad attitude. Sign said 2 in the shop at a time. So I waited until a customer came out. I went in and started to look in the counter, only to be shouted at to get out. The excellent customer service informed me that only two customers were allowed in at the same time. There were already two! This being my first and last visit, only two customers allowed unless you are local or they know you. Shame really as I was trying to buy 2 fillets of beef and one of veisonbut I don't think they had enough if all that was in the display was all they had.

We have shopped here regularly since moving to the area a couple of years ago. Quality and variety / choice is exceptional. The in shop banter is great fun. During lockdown they worked so hard to keep us safe and not hungry! We phoned our order through weekly and collected 24 hours later outside the shop. Great effort ladies and gets...you are very much appreciated.

Jamie Ward's Traditional Family Butchers
We were visiting North Wales, and this butcher was recommended, as we wanted to buy some shoulders of lamb. We bought a shoulder of Salt Marsh, and a shoulder of Traditional lamb to put in our iced cool box for the journey to Milton Keynes. They arrived in perfect under 5 degree condition, and the flavour was fantastic, especially the Salt Marsh. The shop was clean and well organised, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We would not hesitate to go again when we are next in North Wales.

very good sausage rolls and pasty rosbeef with horse radish, but the most expensive olive stuff with garlic. I couldnt believe it, must be the most expensive in the UK. £6.76 for 19 olives
