After attending a number of adult education classes and then attending a workshop at the Realist Academy . I’ve realized you get what you pay for ! I’ve learnt a lot more in one weekend than on any other course I’ve been on.

Great place to practice life drawing or painting. Friendly and relaxed, professional models and set up, refreshments included. Actual drawing time 2 hours. There are also longer courses and workshops at the academy which I would highly recommend.

Very welcoming art community, Wine and Paint is a great fun. Visited for the first time and enjoyed the atmosphere of deep concentration on painting, and got all the help I needed from Louis and peers. Time flies and the results are beautiful no matter what your level of experience is. Highly recommend!

I attended the Realistic Academy at the weekend for the Rose Oil Workshop with Louis. I really enjoyed the two days and came away with a painting I am very pleased with. It was my first time painting with oil and Louis was professional, talented and knowledgable.

Louis’ talent speaks for itself through his art. Not all great artists are good instructors. Louis is able to convey his knowledge, experience, and sheer expertise in a way that is accessible to all. Whether you are a novice, or a someone who already creates art, I guarantee you will come away satisfied that you took a class, lesson, or a course with him.

If you want to learn how to paint and draw this is the place. Louise has been train in Florence and really knows his stuff. It will challenge you and start you down a new path towards being a better artist.The drop in portrait nights are a must. Great models, great setup and great lighting.

Attended a workshop at Realist academy and Louise is such a great teacher, a lovely person very welcoming with great surroundings in his studio. Very informative, great direction and very passionate about his craft. Would definitely recommend and I would love to take part in another workshop. 5 stars!

I completed a course with Louis at the Realist Academy. I study fashion and design. It was a fun class and I got a lot from it that was new to me.
