Terrible facilities - the gym is very basic with poor, limited equipment. Awkward gym racks make picking up dumbbells difficult. There's only 1 piece of equipment for cable work meaning at busy times you won't be able to get on at all. Grubby and tired looking interior design despite only being updated a few years ago. There are also a lot of kids that use the facilities. That's just the gym. The booking system is diabolical with an online service that makes sense to only those that run it. Booking slots and prices don't make any sense with it being unclear what you actually need to book in order to get your court. The website often says that a slot is free but then won't allow you to book it. On calling up I've been told that it looks free unless you log into your account. Why does it look different for guests or those with a membership? No explanation was forthcoming.Prices are also a rip off and they are unforgiving if you wish to get a refund even if you have a very valid reason.

I went here for swimming today and the receptionist was very very rude and very disrespectful giving full on attitude and being racist. I have never seen a receptionist this rude and not welcoming. They was shouting at us due to asking questions about a Leeds card which is pathetic! I really do not recommend this leisure place at all. They literally do not have manners and are very unprofessional!!

The receptionists behaviour is inappropriate. The way they talking and answering is like they arguing or fighting with people , which is not polite and helpful at all.

Had a great time with my kids and niece today I wanted to write a review to complement the cleanliness of the baths and changing rooms the lady there I have seen nearly every Saturday is always busy and very helpful I didn't catch her name she's short with brown hair she's makes it very clean and after visiting other local baths this year I'm happy to get changed here the other places aren't as clean. It's much appreciated to know that people actually clean after others have used showering areas I hope she's appreciated

Got no time for the lady in reception who appears to be in a mobility chair & wears glasses ,who seems to be a angry, I went there to get familiar with the gym because I have mental health problems so to help myself I went to have a look around, the lady in question said to me “ your not properly dressed for the gym , I wasn’t asked why I was there , she just assumed. I found her attitude to be judgemental & disgusting, I went through leap to join the gym for mental health reason & to improve my physical condition. I’ve had a bad experience with her , she has no people skills at all, how she got a job there is beyond belief , surely people skills are important when dealing with public, The staff with leap are amazing & have helped me on my journey to improve my mental health & my physical condition. The gym itself is simply amazing with brilliant staff in the gym & there is some friendly people that go to gym also. I am improving which is thanks to the staff with leap who are very supportive. Just a shame that 1 member of staff has no idea how to talk to people & seems to be angry with people for no reason.

The kids pool is great, when you can get in. Which means arriving at least 40 mins before the session starts and waiting/queuing. They are so slow at processing everyone and don’t inform you when the small pool is full, so have waited in the queue unnecessarily as the big pool is too cold for a young child.

The place is clean and modern. Great pools, good gym, for courts go to kirkstall but otherwise this place is newer and nicer. Reception staff are polite once you get to know them, I've read other reviews saying they are rude...i think they are just not majorly chatty that's all..maybe could smile a little to make customers feel more comfortable but on the whole they do a good job. I've had an issue in the past with my son and gymnastics and it was dealt with very well by the manager I'm happy with the outcome and felt my child's interests were prioritised by him. In my opinion the swim staff work very hard and are the friendliest of all staff. Cleaning, customer relations and they bring the positive energy to the place. Lifeguards and teachers are amazing.. even the ones that aren't as chatty and a bit older are amazing at their jobs and extremely knowledgeable. I've used: gym, pool, table tennis and classes and happy with all.I've worked in the fitness industry for many years and feel if the rest of the staff were as vibrant as the swim staff this place would be amazing however it's good enough for me and it's a low cost local health hub that is accessible to all with amazing facilities for disabled people (from what I've seen) and everyone else so not sure why so many negative reviews. As for the lady who wanted to go swimming and was told no baggy clothing I know this lady to be a neighbor of mine and felt extremely disappointed that that was her experience. She's a lovely woman and a mum who happens to be Muslim and wanted to wear a t shirt and shorts over her costume...I see no way this should be an issue... hopefully the reception staff will learn from this and be more understanding in future.

Impossible to get on classes with too few for demand, the gym is poorly designed with no real free weigt area and too few benches (2 last time i went). It's also full of teenagers. Only worth it of you swim a lot or use other services, for general fitness it's cheaper and better elsewhere

Been going to this gym on and off for the last 18 months. For some reason now the gym tends to be full of numerous groups of teenagers (sometimes 6/7 lads together at a time). They lack any sense of gym etiquette, hog the equipment and interrupt you during sets to ask when you'll be finished. Some of these kids look about 12 and shouldn't be unsupervised in this environment. Staff don't seem to see this as an issue. Will be finding a new gym and know of plenty of other regulars that are following suit. A real shame.
