Dark Sky Glamping

We booked one night at High House Barn glamping with our 2 dogs. The yurt was lovely however there were a few minor issues - the cool box hadn't been properly cleaned, only 2 if the 4 lamps worked & using the kettle & the fire at the same time tripped the electric. The yurts are sited beside a barn which contains lambs who screech until late at night but that's understandable on a farm. Next door is a boarding kennels & on the night we stayed dogs barked ALL night. This unsettled our dogs & we didn't sleep a wink. We actually left early (4am) to drive home. I wanted to highlight our issues to improve the experience for others so I sent constructive feedback to the owners via e-mail & the contact form which was not acknowledged. I made one honest comment on a Facebook post & have now been blocked from commenting on the page. So in short, it's a nice setting but attention to detail and customer service are poor. The toilets & showers are nice.

Made to feel so very welcome for our overnight stay. Brilliant facilities. Thought of everything. We stayed cosy and warm despite the wild weather!The Sunday lunch was delicious. Cake and scones lovely too! Definitely stay again.
