The store is wonderfully clean and tidy, the staff seem happy to help. BUT the furniture is woefully overpriced the wardrobes are poor quality and much less expensive on Amazon. After a few visits the stock seems to sit there and does not move. This is indicative of poor management and should be looked as clear changes are needed for this to be more successful.

I would concur with one of the reviewer's comment. Some of the items, particularly the white goods, are pricey. Why are they being sold for such a high price? Wouldn't it be better to promptly dispose of stock to maximise space and speed up turnaround? Besides that, people who buys white goods from charity shops usually can't afford the full price. After all , the charity received the items for free.

Since there were one or two critical reviews here, just thought I’d mention that I visited with donations today and the staff/volunteers couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful.

Sadly the staff need training in how to speak to the customer. There was a long brown haired rude rude girl in today, Sunday at the Orton shop. I asked if she would give me a box to put tea set in and she firstly said I will put it at the front counter. How could I pack from there from shelf long way from there. She then brought it back and threw it in a trolly near me and went in the back. No help at all. She needs sacking.Yet on my way out, there was a beautiful little boy about 10 and said thankyou and have a nice day to the staff who served him. Everybody in the shop stopped and looked at him. Well done him

I always donate to this shop and often have a browse too. A lot of charity shops have put prices up. This one has a bit too but that said I still think things are reasonably priced in here. Shop is always tidy and I often see people cleaning. Staff have only ever been friendly. I moved to the area in 2020 so my experiences are based over 2 years. I will say it's so handy they now have fitting room back open as well.I had to return some things prior to fitting room reopening and never had issue as long as I had receipt & tags were still on.Nice selection of greetings cards too, I'd rather give my money to a charity for cards.

Being told a cut in the front of a dress was hardly noticeable then lectured to on their policy about removal of tags even though I'd explained the dress fit me perfectly so I'd washed it and it was only when I came to iron it did I see the cut I found was a bit unprofessional as the salesman was saying I shouldn't have removed the price tag even though It was to be washed, what a ridiculous statement, when should I remove the price tag then, or perhaps I should leave it to go soggy and disintegrate in the washing machine. After saying that I do like the shop, it is well stocked and reasonably priced so hoping this was just a one off by an untrained staff member.

Absolutely disgusted at the manner in which I have been spoken too just now. Donating good quality barely used closed and called ahead yo check they will accept as I had a few bags. Only to arrive to be rudely dismissed and looked down on like my donations where not good enough for them. Will never donate here again, for somewhere being gifted items a simple thank you or even hello would have been just a basic curtesy.

Been in the store few days ago. Have been served by Elizabeth who was the nicest and most helpful lady I have met in a long time. The service I got from her will definitely make me to come back to the store <3

A lovely tidy shop but the staff are rude - not acknowledged, not friendly (and that’s the manager!) don’t even look at you/talk to you when serving. They need some customer service training!
