Terrible customer service. We had booked a car in my partner's mother's name, but changed it to my partner as the main driver 48hrs prior. I called the morning of the booking to confirm all the details had been changed, they said they hadn't been changed but they would sort it out no problem. Upon arrival we were told the names haven't been changed and they couldn't do it for us. My mother in law doesn't have a credit card and they refused to take a debit card to hold the sum of 2505 pounds' as it was an SUV we hired. We were told they can only take a few of 600 pounds on a debit card but we would have to pay an excess of an extra £40 per day to use a debit card as a deposit. I requested changing the driver's name by booking a completely new booking but she said that she couldn't do that for us. I asked if I could do it online but she said that we couldn't as the place was closed according to the website so it would not accept a booking which I cannot believe for a second. Anyway we agreed to pay everything the lady asked us to pay and at the final hurdle she wouldn't let us take the car as we didn't have a car seat, although we have one at home 10 minutes away she would not let us take the car without hiring one from her. We ended up walking out without a car, hired a taxi and left, booked a car with europcar. A booking that cost 90 euros online was going to end up costing us £300. Disgusting customer service, attitude, lack of help and empathy for customer. Would never ever use again and I would never recommend to anyone. The lady I dealt with was an Australian lady, if the owner is reading this i recommend you change your staff. You do not want a person like that working for you I promise you. I cannot believe this company is still trading.

I’m always a little dubious renting from a company I’m not familiar with (unlike Hertz, Europcar etc) but everything went very smoothly; nice modern car for an affordable rate and clearly a forward thinking company with regard to their fuel return policy.Anthony provided a genuinely exceptional service by staying late to wait for me while my flight into Bristol was really delayed, collection was then extremely prompt and I was on my way.No complaints whatsoever, I would fully recommend.

The car exceeded my expectations, presenting itself in pristine, virtually brand-new condition. The staff demonstrated a commendable level of friendliness and professionalism throughout the entire transaction. The deposit procedures were executed seamlessly, adhering to industry standards. Without hesitation, I would wholeheartedly recommend this service and eagerly look forward to utilizing it again in the future.

Best to avoid them. We had a problem with the card (they said they needed a physical credit card in the name of the driver for the deposit, of which we hadn't been informed neither in the confirmation email or the contract). We offered a digital credit card, then a physical debit card in a different name, so we asked to change the driver (which was refused due to several hours being supposedly needed for the criminal records check). We just asked for any other solution, just to be able to start our trip ASAP, but were not given any, nor did we receive our money back. I don't believe they are dishonest, but they should definitely improve their service. The younger worker however was as helpful as he could, and finally recommended other companies that could accept our cards. Thank you again!

This is the second time we've used this company at Bristol. I remembered Rory from before as he was very helpful and this time was no exception.Due to long delays on the M5 we were cutting it fine to get to the gate on time. The car was checked over in minutes and signed in.Rory was a star and immediately got us to the departure zone.(We owe him a tip as we had no cash!)100% will use again. Thanks guys.

Avoid Green Motion Bristol Airport at all costs!I recently had the most disappointing and frustrating experience renting a car from Green Motion's Bristol Airport branch. Upon arrival, I was met with an empty office and a 20-minute wait for the representative to arrive. Once he finally appeared, he prioritized another customer despite my prior reservation.When it was my turn, I was met with an overzealous demand for utility bills as proof of address, despite presenting my driver's license, multiple credit cards, my national insurance number, and even offering to show him electronic copies of my council tax bills, water bills, or payslips. His insistence on paper copies was unreasonable and inflexible, causing further delays and ultimately preventing me from renting the car.As a result of this fiasco, I missed my hotel reservation and incurred additional Uber expenses to get to and from the airport. My travel plans were thrown into disarray, and I was forced to rebook a car for the following day from a more reputable company.Green Motion's Bristol Airport branch is an absolute disgrace to the car rental industry. Their staff is unhelpful, inflexible, and downright unprofessional. I strongly advise anyone considering renting from this branch to steer clear and avoid the aggravation I experienced. Save yourself the time, money, and frustration and choose a different car rental provider.

Fantastic company to hire a car from. The car we got was a 23 plate, large Peugeot 5008, automatic, and very clean. On our arrival at Bristol airport, we gave them a phone and were picked up soon afterwards at the drop-off/pickup point and taken the 5 minute journey to get our car. The signing of the paperwork only took 5 minutes. There is a toilet on site. After we returned the car, we were again taken back up to the drop-off point. The staff were great. I can highly recommend this hire company.

Quality went downhill over the years. I won’t be retuning to them in future trips.Unpleasant experience as they refused to acknowledge that something was wrong on their sides when I told them they did not return the deposit they claimed would be back 10 days after returning the car. Blamed my bank, and when they charged me an outrageous £68 administrative fees for a fine 6 weeks after I returned the car, it showed they charged me £18 only cause they had the £50 all along. They then had the audacity to say that is what deposits are for… no, not as per the agreement. If I did not have a fine you’d have held that money you claimed you returned until when then?1) Be careful with the fine prints.2) Jargon all over their contracts and agreements, hard to understand and I studies and lived in the UK for 7 years.3) Do not be late picking up the car cause they also charge you - regardless of the fact that you depend on a flight and on their unreliable shuttle.4) Be careful, the shuttle to airport is tiny, unreliable timings and shared with another company… as a family of 6 we had quite an experience. They would have you miss your flight for lack of providing proper shuttle to the airport.The only positive experience, the staff who dealt with us when I picked up the car was very good. Dealt with us and the crazy situation we were in properly.

SCAM.Absolutly horrible experience.First time renting a car and never want to again. They required a £2505 credit card deposit which is almost unheard of in the industry. My mum has rented hundreds of cars at this point and has never had to have a deposit over 1k. They also told me on arrival i couldn’t do over 100 miles a day. My credit card unfortuently did not have the limit they required and gave me little other option so was left without a card and have recieved NO REFUND. Including for the extra insurnace i payed (£45) - they wont refund either.On top of it all the lady on reception was quite cold and rude to me.Just want to warn people about this company. Do not rent here ever!
