A key place in Welwyn Garden City’s cycling history

My wife and I stumbled upon this place a while ago - back when I had a range of hobbies and was a more interesting person. Since then, I have been subsumed into a world of skinny men, taut thighs and bulging calves. Its rather wonderful. Although I disappoint my wife regularly these days, she still smiles as we drive past, or it might be a grimace. Bikes and Buns - its a lifestyle choice....make it now.

A post box, but not as you know it. Much like any post box, it's a starting part of exciting and new adventures. But this post box, above all others, have been the start of so many great journeys it's difficult to comprehend.Countless journeys, of staggering magnitude have started out from this humble post box. If post boxes could talk, this one would have some tales. It may not be the most glamorous of post boxes. The most beautiful or even be especially noticeable. But it lacks in physical distinctness, it more than makes up for in the intangible significance it holds within the Welwyn Garden City and surrounding area cycling community.
