Such a shame. So many high street names disappearing. If I can't touch, see or try on, why buy from false descriptions on line. The then the hassle to send it back. No wonder inflation is rising. It oats the companies money to get product back

This is one of the clusters of shops in the Designer Outlet at the very entrance from the parking. Not much of varieties on furniture, white goods or electrical and electronics. Sold as seen as the normal T&C's would not apply here. The damaged and dented goods are sold at a discount, keep that in mind and not fall for the trap. Prices are great compared to the normal retail price. They also seem to have some or the other offers available throughout the year so you can pick up a bargain. The staff is always attentive and is friendly, the premises are clean and all other outlets are adjacent to or the opposite. Plenty of eateries and shops are around and you can shop until you drop. The vast (free) parking for over £50 purchase is a bonus. Definitely worth paying a visit and there will always be something for you on sale or on clearance.

Bought a refurbished phone which kept restarting for no reason. The phone has been sent to Google and they said they won't fix it under the warranty since it was liquid damage... I got reimbursed but it is the last time I buy something refurbished from John Lewis... They don't test the product they sell refurbished, it is a bit of a lottery...

Purchased a Harrison Spinks zip and link mattress from the outlet in Swindon. We paid £3200 and the original price was £4600 so we thought we had a bargain!!Not the case unfortunately. Six months on and we have gone to turn the mattress from Summer to Winter and it is minus a toggle/zip. The teeth to the zip are damaged.The mattress is not fit for purpose. You do expect quality when spending thousands.We have in the past had Vispring mattresses and never had any issues and such a shame that we decided to pull away from them.All we requested was a zip. But this is not easy. They offered us to either get the bed repaired and they would refund the repair or a small percentage of the mattress cost as a goodwill gesture.Either way, this still leaves us with a pair of mattresses that are not fit for purpose unless we can obtain a zip, but this is proving very difficult for John Lewis and Harrison Spinks to provide a satisfactory outcome.* please be very careful when you make a purchase at the shop as at the time of purchase and on their terms and conditions, you are expected to check the product thoroughly before it leaves the building. This was not pointed out to us at the time of purchase and it was wrapped in thick polythene. What is confusing is that on the till receipt it states 12 months parts and labour but unfortunately they do not honour this.

Very disappointed with their customer service. I have asked to reserve an induction hub, which they kindly accepted to do till 11am, I called them at 11.30 and they sold it to someone else. The phone was busy at 11. Very disappointed...they did not bother to call and check before selling the item to someone else.

Bought a sofa from here a couple of years ago. Only had a 1 year warranty as it is an outlet, fair enough. Sofa started to dip after just over a year so had no recourse with the warranty. Opened the sofa up to try and repair myself and found that it had already had a bodged repair job. There were 2 springs missing. One had been replaced with a strap which was okayish but not holding as much tension as a spring would. As a result of the missing springs it has caused further springs to break. Would have expected a better repair job by John Lewis for it to be sold in an outlet!

Good place to come for quality goods at reduced prices, if you're not worried about things like a little scratch on the side of your dishwasher. Who's going to see it when it's installed? We saved £150 on a dishwasher, and saved £500 on a table. Just watch out for the fact you won't normally get a 2-year warranty.

I've bought things from John Lewis Outlet in Swindon many times, and the staff have always been lovely. However, last night, my partner discussed a couple of items we wanted with the manager on duty(another couple also wanted these, but we were there before them), and she let slip that his accent could've been the problem. That's why she went with the other couple. He's Irish, for the record. We have felt uncomfortable a couple of times with this manager, who seemed to watch us like hawks compared to other couples in the store. This kind of discriminatory behaviour is unwarranted. I didn't realise we still had adults who judged people on accents and appearance.Who are you employing, John Lewis??? I'm appalled and will speak to the Head office regarding this lady.

It's great if they have what you are looking for but the choice when we visited was quite limited.
