The best Thai food in Ipswich.

Small yet very good Thai food

Have been using this restaurant for 20 years never fails to impress the Thai food is fabulous and reasonably priced.

Food is OK, nothing to scream about. Staff are nice, lovely atmosphere. Small, but you'll usually get a table without booking.

Food was great and tasted authentic! Was really looking forward to the phad Thai but that was my least favourite part. Service was not good at all considering we were the only ones in there. the young lads serving Loki looked like they didn't want to be there.

Terrible service and experience from the moment we stepped in. The manager was rude and miserable, she should’ve stayed at home! The young boy working there had better manners - Manager take note! The food was quite bad as far as Thai food goes. There are certainly better places than this in Ipswich. The food was over priced especially when you take into consideration the portion sizes. We spent just over £50 between the 2 of us. The selection on the menu was also very limited. When we complained about the lack of variety the manager said it was authentic Thai food - we’ve been too many Thai restaurants over the years and even Thailand and I have to admit this is one of the poorest representations of Thai cuisine I’ve come across. We normally go to either of the other Thai restaurants in town but decided to go visit Baipo based on the positive google reviews, I have to question the authenticity of the reviews just as I have done of the establishment itself. This is one experience I will not be recommending, no quality and very over priced for what you get - there are certainly better Thai restaurants in town offering better service, quality and value.

1. Food was ok, having tasted authentic Thai food before, I had ordered tom yum soup which was ok and another soup which had coconut milk added in tom yum soup. Egg rice was ok and so was chicken stir fry and fried trout. But the main feature of the food was that it was just eatable. There was nothing special about the any dish except one dish which I would mention in the end. There is no reason to over price the menu for this food I spent 57 pounds for this food which should be worth less than 25 pounds. There was one tasty dish in the menu which turned out to be the Thai custard with sticky rice. It was worth the money paid for and I would come back only to taste that again. Rest of the food was not worth it. If you can have proteins, if you know to overcook it, have accessible lemon grass and coconut milk and have the patience to cover the proteins with them you be made the dishes you would go to eat here.Ambience/staff- not worth talking about.In a nutshell- Thai dressed restaurant with overcooked food not worth your money except awesome Thai custard with sticky coconut rice which needs to be tasted atleast once (may b more than that)
