Our Lady of Walsingham and St Cuthbert Mayne Church

A lovely church with a lovely community. As a former Anglican myself I appreciate the sonorous echoes of the Anglican liturgy the Ordinariate uses.

As a Visitor enjoyed the sung mass

Deeply spiritual Catholic Church of the Ordinariate. Daily Matins and Mass with Adoration, Evensong and Benediction on Friday as well. Friendly, welcoming congregation and parish priest.

Fantastic church to vist

History! So much to tell and so little time! OK, so OLW & St. Cuthbert Mayne was inherited from the Methodist Church ten years ago as part of the founding of The Ordinariate under Pope Benedict XVI. This means it is now a Catholic Patrimony with its congregation coming from the previous Anglo-Catholic tradition, so devotion is VERY important and all feasts and memorials are honoured with additional Mattins and Stations of the Cross. Architecturally, the church is not striking, but MUCH has been done to improve the appearance and enhance its deeply prayerful and spiritual ambience. We are the serving team (bells, smells and choreography!) and can happily confirm our congregation is growing organically. A warm welcome is always offered, and we are happy to discuss our faith!

The only Ordinariate parish,as yet,in the UK. A very friendly group on a Sunday with a welcoming coffee/tea and home made cakes after Mass. Daily Mass ; Monday 6pm,Tuesday 12pm, Wednesday Adoration at 11am followed by Mass at 12pm, Thursday 7pm,Friday 6pm and Saturday 9am.

Inspirational

This Ordinariate Church has a lovely atmosphere. The Priest and his family are all very friendly and kindly, as are the regular Parishioners. If you want a lovely spiritual experience, you should definitely plan to attend a Mass at this Church. If I could rate it six stars, I would.
