Great take away shop,Owner's are friendly and helpful.The food are really delicious and the price are really cheap.I recommend everyone who loves oriental food to give it a try.You will not regret it.

Brilliant spot! Incredible customer service, and the food is even better!

Oishi is a small establishment run by a young married couple and their child. We got the gyoza (highly recommend), chicken karaage (highly recommend), the Japanese style chips (these were nice but be warned they have a fishy flavour) the Japanese curry rice with pork katsu and with tempura prawns, miso soup and tempura rice balls. The food was good and better than your average takeaway in Leeds and definitely better than the average Japanese food in Leeds (I would go here over Wagamama’s etc. and I have been to Japan so I like to think I have a decent grasp on Japanese food), though of course I can’t speak for the Chinese food. The portion sizes are good, especially for the price you’re paying, it’s great value for your money.However, there are some potential improvements to be made. The most glaring issue is that the tempura rice balls (dessert option) contain peanut butter but there is no mention of this on the menu, as this is an allergen this is a cause for concern and why this review sits at 3 stars for now. The tempura prawn curry rice could have used 1 or 2 more prawns and then pork katsu was a little over cooked but still good.Overall there is a lot of potential here and I definitely recommend trying them even if it’s just for the karaage and gyoza. They have a karaage chicken deal which is definitely worth checking out. I will definitely be coming back :)
