Littlehaven Beach
We visit twice a week at least. Always a lovely walk alongside the beach. Sand is soft and is sifted by a tractor in the morning. Facilities by the beach are good too - showers and toilets as well as a little food shack run by Minchella's.

Beautiful beach and area. Just a short drive from South Shields. Visited on a week day afternoon, hardly anyone around. Stunning.

Littlehaven Beach
This is a beautiful sandy beach and dog friendly all year round, however I think they should adopt the same policy as Whitley Bay where they have a section of the beach where dogs aren't allowed between May and September. A promenade & seawall runs along the top of the beach where there is a memorial to the men from Tyneside who died during the Gallipoli campaign.

Having used this hotel for over 20 year and always found the food and drink decent value, since the new owner took over the Sunday lunch is definitely not up to past standards. However last night we called in for a drink, and for a pint of Guinness and a pint of Cider it cost £12:05. Definitely rip off prices. Our long standing relationship with the Littlehaven is now terminated.

Today we popped into the little haven for a coffee ,a lovely friendly lady called Alison served us our lattes which were lovely and hot,highly recommended.

Always good to see the Weebles, and have a walk along the beach and up to see Herd Groyne. Fab views across the river.

Littlehaven Beach
Lovely sandy beach that's dog friendly all year round. My family and I (and our pooch, of course!) love coming here year round. Short walk from the fun fair and the park which the kids obviously love, and voila, instant dog happiness too. Win-win!
