Shocking customer service from Hertz. Received an invoice where there are all sorts of added costs, invoice is very difficult to understand. I'm trying to get in touch with Hertz but cannot get through and nobody is replying or calling me back. Also when dropping the car off at Inverness airport, was not clear how to drop off and where. Nothing was explained to us. Scammers! avoid, avoid, avoid!

They do not respond. Can not contact them. No refunds have been provided. Even using my case number and replying to the person involved, I am getting no response and have been working on this for 5 months now. My case number is # 15520936. Several emails and follow-ups have been sent.

If I could give zero I would, took money for a car that wasn’t even available, waited two weeks for refund still haven’t received it and now been told to wait another two weeks whilst they “look into it” and doesn’t even have a contact number to speak to someone only live chat with limited responses.

Avoid avoid avoid!! This company is a big scam, they try to get money off you in every possible way. It is a shame. Refunds take so much time get back to your bank. After you have closed the contract, they will take money off you and you will not get any reasons for it. You will have to keep chasing them for your own money, too much hassle. It is robbery. AVOID. Poor customer service too.

Rented a car from Watford Hilton everything was great. Great service nice car friendly workers. Returned car every was fine. A few days later I was charged £267 for a rental in Uxbridge rental I never placed nor had. Unable to get my money back very unhappy messaged Ian and he blocked my messages and calls. Don't use guys your be charged for rentals you never placed

They receive a fine in the car i drove 6 weeks after parking it -- then they take 15 days to email it on so the 14 day period has elapsed and the higher charges apply .. tired to ring them head office number out of order ! Tried to ring the parking crowd's 24 hour number and just get engaged signal ! -- all to increase charges !Making it even harder from AustraliaOutside of car looked like it was washed with milk !

I’ve rented a car for over 6 months now and I’m getting fed up with hertz. I’ve been chasing them for 2 months as the polstar I have needed to be looked at for a possible software update. They told me I had to return the car and they’d give me a different one. The stress and hassle of this whole thing is ridiculous. I should be able to go to the appointment myself and not have to lose my car and end up with one that could be in worse condition.Then I had 3 auto pay issues with Heathrow. Heathrow have already acknowledged the issue and wiped one of the fines. The other is pending and the other hertz paid and tried to take the money out of my account. I had zero knowledge there was even a fine until I got a text saying the payment I didn’t know about didn’t go through. As a driver I should have the opportunity to appeal tickets because most of the time the appeal is successful. Example..going to a road that says access only. The simple solution is to show my job drop off and it gets squashed. Hertz will not tell you and then try and take payment. And for every fine they add a £30 admin fee for them having to pay it. Which they didn’t have to do in the first place. The whole thing has added so much stress I’m thinking about renting the car elsewhere

I'd give a lower score if I could. I've been a Gold Plus Rewards Five Star customer for many years and can't believe how bad Hertz have become. Their prices have gone up massively in the last year and their level of service has dropped dramatically. Their so-called customer service is a joke and it's virtually impossible to speak to a human being unless you want to make a reservation and spend money with them, other than that, they're not interested. I recently had a car dropped at my home for a one way hire to my local airport. I dropped the car at the airport and parked in the marked Hertz drop off lane and put the keys in the drop box as there was (predictably) no-one there in the office. I was subsequently charged for damage to the car (of which there was none) and they're unable to furnish me with any photographic evidence of the alleged damage. Ive tried contacting Hertz (both my local branch & the central number) and have been met by an impenetrable corporate wall of recorded messages and circular phone menus. It's legalised theft. I'll never use Hertz again and I'll implore all my colleagues and other business associates to use other firms as well.

Hertz Uxbridge (Main Head Office)The guy who served me was extremely helpful and informative after I explained it was my first electric car.He took time to show me around the car and explaining charging along with the charging types, the do's don'ts and where to charge explaining fast and slow chargers.How to use the system to find chargers along my route and ensuring I was comfortable using the cars features.He also explained the return policy, showing any damage on the vehicle and informed me how much fuel it should be with.
