SUMER Restaurant & Shisha Lounge
Went yesterday for the first time and I was amazed by the nice decoration of this new restaurant in town! It’s superb .I had to eat a sea bass which was really tasty and for drink I had orange juice it was so fresh ?! That it was unbelievable sweet.I was served by a really nice young lady , very sweet and young she explained to me about the menu and about the Iraqi tea.. which is served complementary after every meal .She did it light for me so kind! I wanted to sleep at night so she suggested to have it anyways but slightly lighter than they usual serve it.I will be returning for sure with friends and familyThank you!!

This restaurant has made a very nice impressions with its hospitable abd friendly hosts, cool environment with the amazing interiors beside the delicious dishes. I recommend this for everyone want to try the traditional Iraqi cuisine that will left your stomach full and happy :D

Went to dine in. The waitress was super friendly and really looked after us.we got served complimentary soup which was delicious.I had a mixed grill - Chicken and Adana. I would like to be constructive in my reviews when something wasn't right but this was by far the worst mixed grill I ever had. I have a feeling that they precooked the chicken and lamb on charcoal but then reheat it in a deep fat fryer when ordered. 100% it was not cooked on the charcoal grill when ordered. This is totally unacceptable for a place like this.The lamb kebab was a terrible consistency and devoid of any taste.I did speak to the waitress afterwards and she assured me that nothing is deep fried. Unfortunately, this time I don't believe her.I would not recommend this place. Instead got to Sofreh or Aroma...much better quality food all round.I hope they take the feedback on board and make some changes.

The meat dishes such as kofta and Chicken Shawarma had a strong raw meat taste, indicating insufficient marination. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, and I don't plan to go there again.

Newly opened and it looks good.They have rotisserie chicken and large kebabs, they prepare their own bread.I only tried a take away and it was good.Will return for the full restaurant experience.

Tasty new addition to the local high-street. Newly refurbished in a marble and luxe design. We visited as a party of five, including two vegetarians. We ordered the selection of cold starters to share. The dips were flavourful and rich. The bread is made to order in the oven they have onsite, lovely texture and chew to the crumb. The lentil soup was warming and spiced nicely. There is limited choice for vegetarians mains, both had the falafel wrap which was excellent. The sea bass, lamp chops and lamb kebab were cooked and seasoned well. Service was busy and the servers seems a little flustered but I am sure they will adapt to the flow of service with experience. There is a takeaway section at the front which was very busy if you don’t have time to sit in.

On Monday we visited Sumer for the first time since it was recommended to me.The restaurant has a stunning and unique decor running throughout.It has a wide variety of authentic Kurdish food on the menu to choose from and something for everyone.The lentil soup was very tasty and fresh...The freshly wood oven bread made was amazingThe main Shawarma mixed on a plate was not bad but also not as good as I expected.It was served on a beautiful plate but I expected a little more.There were 3 waitresses who served us throughout our time there.one whom was very hard working and genuine who served us the complimentary soup whereas the other two waitresses seemed slightly fake and as though they were acting.Nonetheless I would visit again if I were within the area and I would try something else on their menu.

Tried a chicken shawarma box and the chicken was so dry. First time trying this place, definitely won't be back. The fresh bread was nice.
