Cancel the meeting let me to having an unexpected, explore and coffee at salts Mill. What a lovely place, amazing art, great shop, special if you like stationery and arty books. Café was really nice. I arrived mid morning and there was plenty of space. However, the lunchtime rush seemed quite busy.

Salts Mill
A beautifully preserved Victorian mill building with a huge capacity. The main attraction is the world's largest David Hockney art collection, which is creatively mixed in with Victorian ceramics and artefacts from the mill, and spread over the ground and top floors. There are also exhibitions from other local artists, a room dedicated to the history of the mill, an impressive bookshop, a beautiful home store, a jewellery designer showroom, and an antiques emporium.Plenty to keep you occupied for a while then! And when you start to flag, there's a choice of two excellent quality cafes, serving hot food and wine, as well as the usual coffee and cakes, and it's table service too. There are also loos on every floor.Such a well organised space, and a well thought out visitor experience. Loved it!

We’ve visited several times and always love it. Spread over server all floors there’s something for everyone. Beautiful books and artist materials on the ground floor. Then up to a larger selection of books, art prints, antiques and more. The restaurant is great although we went on a bank holiday Monday so I’d recommend booking in advance. We didn’t mind the wait (40 mins) for a table. We’ve visited so many times before and not normally had to wait. The food is absolutely lovely and it is worth it. There’s usually extra galleries on the very top floors that are worth a visit. Ample free parking.

Great historical place for a walk around! We didn’t eat in the cafe unfortunately as we visited at Sunday lunch time and the queue to be seated was enormous!!! Highly recommend a visit here

Salts Mill
Beautiful place to visit. Plenty of free parking and disabled parking near to the entrance. Visited the David Hockney exhibition which was wonderful and well laid out. Plenty of opportunity to purchase souvenirs in the shop. The shop is also well stocked with books and gifts. Lift available to all floors. Restaurant is lovely but disappointed that the coffee shop was closed. Food was delicious and served beautifully. Definitely worth a visit.

The Mill is so imposing and very large, set over acres! The Hockney exhibition and crafts in the Mill hall we're also very interesting. We loved the industrial architecture.More fascinating ,for us, was the village of Saltaire. The Town Hall is grand, The United Reformed church unusual, and the Victorian terraces very quaint. We were lucky to get chatting to a local great grandmother, proud to live there, and telling us local history (thanks Betty!)

Absolutely loved it here! Been saying I wanted to visit for ages, finally went and I'm glad I did! I was mesmerised by the video that was played, really enjoyed learning the history of Titus Salt and his empire and values... Well worth a visit!

Great place to walk around, so much history here. The story of how the mill has remained over the decades and who bought and kept it going. Saltaire is a lovely place and we need to keep the heritage alive. Even bradford with its amazing architecture.. its all free no tickets needed. Salts mill car park is also free. Which is an added bonus .
