Swing North - Manchester Swing Dance

Inclusive, LGBTQ+ friendly. Great way to get active again after a lockdown slump! After I had surgery recovery in addition to the lockdowns, I really got out of shape and lost all motivation. It’s been hard to get back out exercising when I feel so starved for social interaction. Well, swing dancing ticks both boxes! I’m having so much fun I kind of forget what a great workout it is! It’s a great way to meet lovely, friendly people as well. The beginner class is one of the best taught I’ve ever seen, and gives you everything you need, but you can also take it every week and keep learning new things.

Really friendly and welcoming atmosphere, in a lovely venue at Whitworth Locke. The teachers are great, everyone is really nice, the organisers do a wonderful job to make this a fun weekly dance class and the socials (sometimes with live bands) are great too. Would recommend!

Fantastic Lindy hop swing dancing classes and socials. Very approachable and friendly teachers and volunteers that welcome faces old and new.

I'm fairly new to swing dancing, but this was a really friendly night and I had a great time. Hope to be back soon. I went to Manchester lindy a few years ago, so it's great there's swing classes in Manchester once again.

Lovely people, good classes and a fun social. Easy to get to Manchester city centre venue. A great way to spend a Tuesday evening!

Great place to learn lindy hop as a begginer and continue your journey for everyone else. Lovely teachers and lessons each week, and a really fun social dance each week too. Kevin and the gang are superb.
