Great little pub to stop in for a drink. The prices are pretty decent and there's a good selection on tap. Staff and regulars are extremely welcoming and friendly. Perfect for a quick break whilst you're in the area.

We went for a family meal last night. We’ve been going for years before the new owners took over. The food was shocking gloopy over cooked mash topped with the sausages that were nice however returned it as we weren’t paying full price just to eat sausages. My 9 year old had lasagne from the adults menu it came in what I’d think was a child’s portion and the meat inside was cheap and tasteless . The staff was were understanding however I think they really need to go to the old menu and use quality produce.

I have been going to the Croppers for years. Since changing hands it has become a disappointing experience. The menu is limited and boring and the place is understaffed. On my last visit we left before coffee was served because the wait was so long. I should point out, strenuously, that the waitress ( also a long serving one) was lovely, but on her own. On Friday. At lunch time .......

Stayed for a couple of nights to follow our football team at Huddersfield. A decent pub within walking distance of the town and a bus stop outside. Live music on Saturday night. We had a problem with the shower, which was fixed the same day. We would happily stay again as we liked it.

Unfortunately my last visit was very disappointing. The restaurant was cold, the service incredibly slow even though it wasn't busy.I asked for sauces and it didn't arrive til I was half way through my meal. Veg was almost raw and custard luke warmI won't be going back

A huge thank you to Keiran & his team for a most enjoyable stay , the rooms are very bright & modern , en suite , very clean , the bed is extremely comfortable good quality mattress so excellent sleep , food was really good , good cask ales , staff & customers very friendly, prices of room fantastic value for money , nothing is to much trouble for Keiran & staff to make your stay enjoyable, will definitely stay again in the near future

Had an unprompted visit to this pub for Sunday lunch with a table of 6, today. Nice decor, warm amd cosey. Great service. The kids had kids menu, which had good variety and was great value. Adults had a roast, which was a generous portion with four veg, and optional cauliflower cheese and pigs in blankets, with a choice of three meats too.Highly recommended.

Me and my partner come in Saturday evening for a meal which I can’t fault the food. I just wasn’t happy when I got in taxis and a staff member came out after us saying we didn’t pay the bill but we paid the bill before we left. The incident definitely put me off coming back again

Stopped in here on a crawl up to Lindley.Friendly staff, good service and great beers.Nice beer garden, area out back.Plenty parking if you're driving.
