Always a huge lineup. They take cash only so make sure you have cash before you go. The paella was really good but the portion size is a little small. Overall highly recommended.

There’s a bit of a queue for this one but its still quick moving. Cash is preferred to speed things up but they still accept contactless. The portion size is decent, you get chicken, shrimp, muscles in the mix. All fresh and tasty. The rice itself tastes too much of turmeric and peas… it stains your fingers yellow. Overall the food is okay if you want to give it a go but it’s not my favorite..

It was the longest line in the entire Borough Market so I jumped in line to see what the hype was about. The paella was very bland, unfortunately, with too much rice given to me and very little amount of seafood. The mussels themselves were also filled with rice and in a place like the Borough Market where seating was scarce to none, it was hard to find a place to open the mussels, and when I did open them, I didn't even find much meat, and ate a bunch of rice anyway. Having some lemon would enhance the flavor slightly, but not by much. I thought the saving grace was actually the peas that were added to the rice, which says a lot about how everything else tasted.I would recommend this place for the experience only if you come here with others and you share your dish with others. The plus side is that the dish is very affordable.I also saw that the person who was getting the paella for the customers put some back into the big pot for some reason, probably after some customer didn't want theirs, and I am not sure if that should have been done at all? Also, totally understand that it's a busy establishment with such a long line even with some kind of traffic officer, but I was rushed when trying to make my payment and I didn't think that was the right move in terms of customer service. I will let it go because I understand the hardship of this industry can really impact one's levels of patience, but still want to mention it for awareness.

Visited borough market today and ordered mussels (£10) and paella (£10). Mussels were decent, however the paella was not as good as I remember 10 years ago. It was below average and I don't really understand why there is such a long queue for it.

Bomba Paella lives up to its hype! The queues were long, and I almost decided against it.. But I persevered and I am glad I did. The paella rice was nice and soft, full of flavour and there was a lot of seafood included in the meal including squid, prawns and mussels. At £10 a bowl, it is slightly on the more expensive side, but it is worth it. Oh, they operate on a Cash is King" policy

I recently visited Borough Market and tried the much-hyped paella that I had enjoyed years ago. Unfortunately, the experience didn't live up to my previous one. The portion size has shrunk, the price has increased, and the queue is now longer. Interestingly, they encourage cash payments by offering extra toppings, which felt like a subtle form of discrimination against card payments, perhaps to skirt tax obligations. Though I'm not Spanish, I found the taste to be less impressive than before. It seems the popularity is more about hype than quality.

Shetland mussels white wine is tasty with rich sauce. The fries are nice. Mussels are fresh without a fishy smell to it. Service could be better by accepting contactless payment .

Yummy paella! Here’s a tip if you want to avoid waiting in the long line: you can go to the mussels side and purchase both the paella and mussels from there. You’ll get your food in less than 5 minutes!
