BoKko Korean Hair Salon

I found this salon after searching for salons specialising in Asian hair and every other place I checked was booked out for a month. Fortunately I could book an appointment at BoKko within a week! It's probably because you have to phone the salon to book.The lady was lovely, she didn't speak much English but understood immediately after I showed her the photo and re-styled my hair exactly as the photo. She was quick and really good! The price was very reasonable too. I would go there again.

The salon is run by an old korean lady and Her English is limited so make sure you have pictures of what style you want. The haircut was good, would come again

I just briefly explained what I wanted and she instantly knew what to do.The haircut was just what I wanted.Very good price, other places are quite expensive.Nothing negative at all.I really recommend it.

I never give reviews but this time had to do it. Even giving 1 star is generous. Should have read the reviews before going in. I booked an appointment and went in the following day to get my hair straightened. The lady recommended volume magic and I went for it believing it to be the best. Midway through the hair-cream sitting on my hair she said something but I did not understand what it was. I was hurriedly asked to come for hair wash, she then used hair dryer only for couple minutes and started ironing my hair whilst wet. I could hear the burn and told her straight away but she said it was okay and proceeded to iron my hair. Next day when I washed my hair my worst fear became a reality my hair was dry, rough and was burned to crisp! it felt like a haystack so I texted her explaining my situation and her argument was volume magic requires a bit of moisture to avoid damage but it was not just moist it was dripping wet! I checked with other hairdressers and they said hair needs to be dried properly before ironing. I was charged £150 for getting my hair damaged. It is absolutely ridiculous. I have texted her couple times and her reply was she could not help me and I would need to cut my highlights but I only have few strands of highlights that too only at the edge. It is not just the highlights thats burned, if it was I would be okay but my natural hair was burned and dried out too also to add the volume magic did absolutely nothing to my hair it did more damage and looks worse than when I walked in! After sending her additional messages she very rudely accused me of making excuses for having highlights on my hair! Unlike other hair dressers who would ask you to come back so things can be fixed she instead blamed me for her failed service! She hasn’t replied me after that and I had to go to another hairdresser where I had to chop most of my lengths which was very few highlights and most my natural hair! I cried my way home. Please don’t make a mistake going here. I felt sorry at first and did not want to leave a review as it was a parlour run by an elderly lady but after receiving such appalling service and rude msg I am left with no option.

Although the lady doesn’t speak English fluently, she has the competence and skills to make sure customers get the haircut they want. I also think the pricing is quite reasonable when taking inflation & cost living crisis into account. Will come back and get another lady haircut from this lady.

Well, I know there were customers who didn’t like her services or whatever but as a fellow Korean this shop I just go with full trust cos this shop is just really authentic Korean hair salon obv my taste is different than others but whenever I got to go their for my hair cut it made me to remind me of the real Korea lolShe has been running this business for ages in the UK alone she might be a bit insensitive but yeah Imm saying it’s real authentic Korean hair salonShe’s a lovely woman don’t be too harsh

I was aware of the price scandal from the comment so I called the day before I visited the shop. The lady said £150 in total(including cutting and perm) on the phone. However, when it is done. She asked for £180 because she wanted to add cutting on top of the perm.Not very pleasant.
