Was assigned the garage by my insurance Company for some repairs.GarGe assured me I wouldn't see the repair, this couldn't be further from the truth. They do talk a very good game. I commissioned them to male a tonneau cover ( this is not fit for purpose what they basically made was a cockpot cover with a zip. Cant be used as it is intended) and put the car through an mot. The technician. Forgot to reattach the seat belts before the mot. Consequently. the car failed. The garage subsequently charged me for the retest fee. I also have to mention while doing the work on my car they managed to remove the wiring for my stereo and pull half of the warning lights out. They left it this way and was only later that night I noticed 4 bulbs lighting up the footwell of the interior.I strongly urge people not to trust this business I took the car to another body shop, they laughed and questioned how a garage could justify £30000 for a respray ( that's 10 times the average respray cost)

This is the 5th garage I've taken my camper van too to get fixed and as usual not a great experience, I handed it in for some mechanical repairs where they took it for a test drive and said it would be £90 then after a few days that quote turned into £900. They even charged me for fitting seat cover back" when they weren't even put back correctly! Once payed and delivered back the battery and side cover was missing

I have a 1992 Jaguar XJS which required some detailed attention as a 4 plus month, £42,000 restoration had not been completed properly by an XJS “specialist” in Thatcham.Because of the negative reviews posted, I was reluctant to use Classic Restorations but I did use and was delighted!The cars in their care are a testament to the service they provide.They understood what had to be done and my budget.Where others had failed Classic Restorations succeeded and I have no hesitation in using them again and recommending them to others.I am a genuine customer and have no affiliation with this company other than as a satisfied customer.

A nice little museum to stop at if you are in the areaThere are a few really rare nice cars to see and we enjoyed the walk down memory laneThis is not a large museum so don’t expect to see 100s of cars but the ones on show are really nice

I emailed for a quote to collect my car and get it up and running as it had been in storage for a couple of years very quick reply I will add more information after work has been completed but very impressed so far

I cannot recommend this Company to anyone and the car will never go back there. After spending a great deal of money 10's of thousands, the car has been back several times and they still couldn't get it right both mechanically and cosmetically (bodywork). I have now had to get this sorted at other local Companies. I don't mind spending over the odds but I do expect a good quality job - they are unable in my experience to carry out good quality work but they charge you over the top. I have also experienced being charged for the same job twice.

This company are amazing, the service I have received is exceptional, never have I ever had such fantastic communication from any business. The set up they have really couldn't be any better and I wouldn't hesitate leaving your precious car in the care of this team. Really friendly staff made me and my Starlet feel so welcome. Graham who I have been dealing with is just brilliant and I really couldn't be happier. Thank you all at classic restorations.

I had a minor job which required to be done. It was booked in and carried out swiftly and professionally. The work is first class and I cannot fault my experience. Highly recommend from me, and will be going back if I need to.

I asked Classic Restorations (Scotland) to replace the clutch on my 1935 Rolls Royce and carry out one or two other adjustments whilst the work was being done. From my initial phone call, to the collection of the car, to the completion of the work, the level of service was impeccable. The work was assessed, the estimate given and upon my instruction the job was started and subsequently completed in a very timely manner, with regular updates given along the way. I went to collect the car and was very kindly offered a show round by John Davidson, who had liaised with me regarding the work. I was highly impressed by the facilities, which included an engineering workshop, body workshop and upholstery workshop, each with their highly skilled crews. I was able to ask questions about the work done and was even shown the old parts they replaced by one of their very knowledgeable mechanics. I would highly commend them to anyone who has a classic car which requires a repair or indeed a full restoration. I can say from first hand experience your cherished car will definitely be in very safe hands and the workmanship will be first class. Chris Wood, St Andrews

The quoted price doubled for me too, I did ask to be notified if the costs escalated past the quote but this never happened. Was even given the wrong total cost from another customers account. Estimated time was given as week for the work, in the end the car stayed there for a month and a half in total.Job quality was very poor indeed. Had to send it back to be redone. Acceptable second time round.Asked to be kept updated on progress with the car, bar the bills being sent there was no communication initiated by this company.I had hoped the previous reviews regarding the costs and advice to avoid were incorrect as both website and premises are very impressive, however from bitter personal experience I can say I found them to be correct. I will never take my car back there, and if you do I would suggest you research the Goods and Services Act and prepare your wallet.
