Abhaig Boutique B&B - Isle of Skye

My husband and I stayed here for three nights, and we did not want to leave! First off, Viv and Steve are some of the sweetest people we've ever met. They made our stay unforgettable, and we can't thank them enough for that. We stayed in the bothy, and it was unreal how beautiful it is. It's designed to perfection. Breakfast each morning was so delicious and started our day off right. The location of the b&b is gorgeous with views right out the front door. After a long day of exploration, we'd also come home to a sweet treat in our room from our hosts which would make us smile and feel so cared for. You can tell Viv and Steve put their heart and soul into running their b&b. You'd be hard pressed to find better people or a better place to stay on Skye! We can't wait to visit again one day.

Everything about our stay at Abhaig was perfect! Viv and Steve gave us such a warm, friendly welcome and nothing was too much throughout our stay. We stayed in their beautiful Bothy for 3 nights of our honeymoon - the Bothy has everything you could want, beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, the bed was super comfortable, and the view out of the floor to ceiling window was just stunning (the sunsets are amazing!). There is plenty of tea and coffee provided and Viv bakes the most delicious cakes that are waiting for you when you return each day from exploring the many sights of Skye.Breakfast was equally delicious, with a great range of options all hand made each morning, beautifully presented and served in Abhaig’s cosy dining room. We also really valued Viv & Steve’s local knowledge and help planning our day ahead.And we couldn’t forget to mention the wonderful special touches Viv had kindly added to the Bothy - a just married sign, rose petals and bunting to celebrate our honeymoon on Skye. There was also a very welcome and appreciated chilled bottle of Prosecco waiting for us to enjoy when we arrived. Thank you so much Viv & Steve for making our honeymoon so special! Abhaig is the jewel in Skye’s crown and will be forever in our hearts. We hope to be back soon.

We had the privilege of staying in the King Suite for four nights while we explored and hiked around the Isle of Skye. We cannot say enough about how incredible it was to stay with Viv and Steve. The space was beautiful and every detail meticulously and lovingly thought out. Viv and Steve cooked us the most amazing breakfasts and picnic lunches, not to mention the delicious baked goods in the evening. They were so helpful in providing trip tips and suggestions. We will definitely be back to Isle of Skye and we won’t stay anywhere else besides Abhaig!

If you're reading this review...stop... and go book this B&B immediately before it's sold out. It's perfect. My husband and I stayed in the room in the house and it was our favorite lodging on our 2 week UK excursion. The hosts are absolutely lovely, the room is gorgeous with fabulous linens, impeccable style (my husband loved the Pre-Raphaelite wallpaper ;-)) , and totally comfortable. If you fancy the idea of literally counting sheep to fall asleep, you're in luck. We slept like babies. If there's an option for Viv to cook for you, DO IT! She's an incredible cook. The B&B's location for hiking is awesome. We were blown away by Skye and Abhaig was the cherry (and sprinkles, whipped cream, & chocolate sauce) on top.

Our stay was lovely. We stayed in the brothy which was very comfortable, very nice layout & furnishings with an amazing view. The breakfast was amazing, with a variety of breakfast options. Viv & Steve were very gracious hosts.

We completely recommend Abhaig B&B. It is such a cosy, clean, and tidy accommodation. Viv and Steve gave us a warm welcome, with cake and beverages included!. The room has all the facilities and very romantic views. The breakfast was delicious with various options available. we had just a lovely chat with Viv after breakfast. we would definitely repeat.

Was fortunate enough to be able to stay in the bothy for three nights, and have reached the conclusion that Abhaig may very well be my favorite place to stay...as in anywhere...on the planet. And by no means am I exaggerating. The accomodations are perfect. The view alone is well worth the trip, perfect for settling in with a good book amid gorgeous Scottish sunsets that last hours.Viv and Steve (and Archie and Cinta) are truly wonderful hosts; you will not find friendlier, more hospitable people. Hoping to be able to return sometime soon, as I am missing Skye already!
