Diamond Home Care (Head Office & Dudley Office)

Words fail me failings start at the top. My ex husband's carers are pitiful they refuse to put a night bag on his catheter. Leave wet bedding by his bed to be washed by the family. Feed him pot noodles or a soup for a meal when he has a freezer full of meals. They have a duty of care and are paid for a 30 minute slot when we check the camera which was installed to check his well being he's lucky if they are there for 10 minutes. Do they even pocess qualifications.

I have been with diamond for a number of years and have worked my way up to where I am now. The company is very person centred with its approach to the service users. The company is extremely well managed with a very supportive office team in place. I wouldn’t want to work anywhere other than diamond.

I have recently been reading the google reviews for Diamond Home Care as i was conscious on whether to write to a review. I can recently see a lot of negative feedback which is why i felt the need to write this review.My father has been with Diamond Home Care since 2018. I have received nothing but outstanding care from the management team and the care staff all around. Since COVID 19 there have been so many strains on the health and social care sector but Diamond Home Care have not yet failed my father. I understand that sometimes due to the pressures there can be late visits but the Office staff always call me to communicate this. The girls have been fantastic in troubleshooting and even when needed they have juggled things around to ensure that my father is cared for correctly.Please DO NOT LISTEN to the negative reviews as i can vouch that Diamond Home Care have been amazing to my father and without them as a family we would have struggled.Thank you Diamond Home Care for all the amazing work that you do! Your carers are FANTASTIC!

Irene celebrated her 99th birthday in September, a few days later she was admitted to hospital. After a stay of 7 days she was discharged from hospital with a palliative care package. Diamond Home Care Dudley provided the carers. Initially they visited and did a risk assessment and checked what care was required. We downloaded an android app which allowed us to see the care given each visit and any comments or concerns left by the carers.They then arranged four care visits per day. We had the same two carers for the first three slots and another two carers to settle Irene down for the night. We were told the approximate time of each visit and they were always on time.When we had to contact the Head Office they were all very helpful and caring.All the carers were wonderful, they showed great tenderness and sympathy. Irene was very tender and needed to be moved with great care. They constantly talked to her and allowed her to keep her dignity as much as possible. It was a very trying time for all the family but the carers made a great difference to her final days. They never left without making sure that there was nothing else they could do.So we would like to thank everyone for their great service.

As a care staff member working for Diamond Home Care for the last 4 months i could not have asked for anymore support then i have been given. I work in the Stourbridge and Kingswinford area and i have loved every part of it! Yes it is busy but the clients are so friendly and the on call team are always on the other side of the phone to support me when i need it! I have worked for 4 different care agencies before joining Diamond and the support and reassure that i get is better then anything i have had before which is different, who would of thought that care providers actually care?? I always thought it way a money game but im finally working for a company where the clients mean more!i recommend everyone to apply as you will not find a more supportive Dom Care agency!

Where do I start worse company and management some of the careers are good but as for the company and management they’re a waste of time I’m warning others do not go with this company your love ones will be left without care as this company will just cancel their care package without a reason and not tell you I’ve only gave then a one star because I had too otherwise they would have had a minus 5 star. I think they done us a favour because my mom new carers and company are much much better and they take care in their work and kno exactly what they are doing. I would never recommend diamond carers to anyone.

I used for work for Diamond home care started in 2018, worked for 4 or more years with them. The management in sandwell company are brilliant especially Kelly, she has also supported and helped me when needed and always went out her way for me. The services users were wonderful people, I enjoyed looking after elderly people and it was a rewarding job because I knew I was making a difference in their lives by talking to them also as sometimes we the carers were the only people they say daily basis. I do miss my service users and Kelly and I hope they are well. I did not leave because they company was bad which they aren't as I have no regrets working for them due to my reasons I had left. Once again thank you Kelly for everything you have done for me and diamonds for giving me an opportunity to work there, I know you wanted me to stay but i couldn't. Thank you so much for everything.

While some carers are very good they tend to leave, and there are a lot of lazy and inexperienced carers. Partly due to the ever revolving door of new faces. Some don't even wipe the microwwave after use, others will put soiled laundry in the machine but not switch it on! We experienced a lot of backstabbing as some carers tried to blame others for mistakes, or tried to get them off the team. Management also have their favourites; and the biggest problem with this company is management, especially the Dudley branch. Communication is appauling. Whether it is with care users and their family, social workers, the carers or OT specialists. Messages don't get passed on, or different people are told different things. I would go as far as to say it is a toxic environment, and I felt intimidated by the manager at Dudley branch. Their care App does not always load info properly, so there are blanks in data recorded, carers themselves get frustrated with it. Relative is marked as happy and well" with a smiley face emoji

My Dad has been with Diamond for just over 12 months I can’t speak highly enough of them. Both the Carers and the Office Staff have be so helpful and caring and have helped over and above when we have had to ask for changes and extra help when Dad has been in and out of hospital and when family members who shared the care responsibilities with Diamond had to isolate at short notice.Unfortunately Dad has just passed away but I wanted to ensure Diamond and other people are aware of our experience.
