Silkwood Studio

I had my first shoot at Silkwood on Friday 11/08/23. Having only recently taken over the reigns at Silkwood Studio his new web site explained the studio with some good images to assist in imagining what would be possible, the on site booking form was smooth and easy to use. Pre-shoot communication was excellent and Nathaniel was at the studio to meet me, he guided me through all the facilities and lighting available and was there to assist when needed moving props and lighting to suit my needs. A superb first experience at Silkwood Studio and I'll certainly be using the facility again in future. Thanks Nath great studio you have.

An excellent find! Roomy, well equipped, plenty of props, and with fantastic natural light softly diffused through northern facing windows - a dream! Karen offers a warm reception and a great brew to boot. Highly recommended.

Absolutely fantastic studio! It’s not my first visit and won’t be my last. I love the endless possibilities that silkwood has to offer with its massive space and infinity curve. I've been hiring Silkwood Studios fairly regularly for about three years. It's a great, well equipped, space to work in with models.I used it yesterday, for the first time, since the business changed hands, and am pleased to say it has the same friendly and helpful service, from Nathaniel, as it had with the previous owner, Karen.

Love using Silkwood Studio! Loads of great areas to shoot with a fantastic selection of lighting and backgrounds. They are always really accommodating and friendly too. What more could you ask for? Keep up the good work!

I regret to share my disappointing experience with Silkwood Studios during a recent attempt to collaborate on a photography project. Unfortunately, the encounter left me feeling frustrated and dissatisfied.From the beginning, I faced challenges in dealing with Silkwood Studios. Despite adhering to the cancellation policy outlined in their contract, I found myself unable to receive a refund or even reschedule the project for a later date. It was particularly disappointing as the the timeframe stipulated in the contract (7 days to cancel) didn't reflect the time between the booking date and shoot date. (5 days)Communication also proved to be a hurdle. While I understand that every business has its policies, the lack of flexibility and understanding left me disheartened. The inability to work out a reasonable solution, even with adequate notice, left me questioning the professionalism and customer-centric approach of Silkwood Studios.The contract itself, which I had reviewed prior to signing, didn't align with the expectations set during the initial discussions. This disconnect led to a series of unfortunate events, ultimately resulting in a disappointing experience.As a potential client, I believe that transparency, adaptability, and an empathetic approach are crucial aspects of any successful collaboration. Unfortunately, these elements were lacking in my experience with Silkwood Studios.While it's essential to acknowledge that every interaction is unique, I hope that my feedback serves as an opportunity for Silkwood Studios to reflect on their policies and consider how they might better accommodate clients' needs and expectations.

What an amazing studio! The booking and payments system are easy and Nathaniel was friendly and helpful. The infinity cove and the other areas were all fabulous. I shot with the Ballerina Erica Mulkern and we took some stupendous images. Highly recommended.

I had a wonderful honour of having a photoshoot with the talented Ballerina Erica Mulkern at Silkwood Studios for the first time. It was Erica who recommended me in the first place to have a shoot at this wonderful studio and I must say I am absolutely impressed.Karen is great host at this wonderful and amazing studio and she was there to help at every instance wherever I needed her guidance. The studio is so huge and spacious. There are all sorts of facilities available and multiple areas to shoot. There are beautiful hand painted backdrops and light modifiers which made my imagination go wild to think of all the different types of concepts and ideas I can shoot at this amazing studio.The infinity cove area is also huge. Please look at the images I have shared and you should be able to gauge it for yourself.Overall I'm absolute impressed with this studio and I highly recommend photographers and models to shoot at this place. Rented the studio yesterday and the new owner Nathaniel was super helpful, the space is quite big and also offers different backdrops and lights, would recommend to any creative!

Just had a great morning at the studio . Nothing was too much trouble. The studio was lovely and warm and everything was ready for a good morning of shooting with Ecria. Thank you so much .
