Bluebird Bakery Holmfirth

Friendly staff nice atmosphere, food not as great as I was expecting or as it looked (we had a selection of French pastries). Coffee was nice (decaf). Realised it’s a chain too which isn’t a bad thing per se but always prefer to see independent shops in holmfirth.

Place is very nice, food was ok, unfortunately the coffee was very disappointing, far too hot, no flavour and it wasn't a cappuccino, not even a latte with a chocolate dusting.

Fabulous bakery with wonderful cakes, breads and savouries!All home made with top quality ingredients by people who care about their products.Lovely to sit inside and drink good quality coffee and hot chocolate too!Staff are very friendly and helpful and listen to requests and fulfill them!!! I'm very particular about hot milk for my coffee and they get it right. Brilliant place, would love somewhere like this in my home town! Will miss it when we go home.Thank you all for looking after us so well.

Best bakery around, there's just too much to choose from but get there early! Their stollen, mince pies and gingerbread are the best I've had. The coffee is great too. Get there early if you want croissants or to sit in!

absolutely fantastic, the best cafe in the whole village. staff are so incredibly friendly, the coffee is fantastic, and the food is delicious! we’ve been twice now and had brilliant service. can’t wait to come again ❤️

Oh dear. My husband suggested we go here as he had previously had a good coffee and cake experience. The baked goods looked delicious but we ordered tea and two toasties. They took 15 minutes to arrive and we both received the same rather than the two different ones we had ordered. We didn’t mind about the wait or the mistake… but… we were seriously underwhelmed by our pesto/cheese/ sun dried tomato toasties. Three small pieces of tomato across the sandwich. Very little cheese. The photo shows one half of the sandwich laid open.I believe it’s important to give feedback rather than just vote with your feet, so I tried to give feedback in the hope of helping them to improve the customer experience, and of course, improve their chances of survival!The reason I am submitting a review is that I felt fobbed off. I was told that there was plenty of tomato…. And when I had to counter this with the facts and explain the expectation of wanting to taste a key ingredient through a sandwich, was told ‘oh, we usually cut them up’. Then, please do, as when people pay a decent price for something, they want to feel it was half worth it.Maybe we caught them on an off day but sadly, we’re unlikely to return.Footnote: in response to the owner. We were actually only asked when we had finished eating, which is when I gave my verbal feedback. There was indeed an offer to correct the order but we really didn’t mind the mix up enough to wait for another toastie. There was no offer for recompense or even any acknowledgment that they were very sad toasties at the time, hence why I left the review.

Lovely little bakery with very friendly staff. Only reason I’m not giving it 5 starts as my cheese bake was a little dry and the coffee I had was too hot and burnt. But absolutely lovely little place with amazing choice.

Very disappointing visit here today. Ordered two flat whites, coffee was burnt and one had soap bubbles in. Ordered two juice cartons for my kids and they were Aldi cartons (not to be sold separately). The brownie was ok but don't think we will be visiting again!

Great little cafe with outside and extra seating upstairs, interesting food choices, great bread and bakery items.
