I had the most wonderful experience buying my dress from Shades of White. Everyone there is so helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. I had some ideas of what I wanted but really wasn't sure and was a bit nervous, but as soon as I walked through the door that all went away. I chose and tried on a few dresses, all absolutely beautiful but not quite right - then Helen found me 'the one'! She'd listened to everything I loved about the previous dresses and thought about what shape/style would look best on me because it was amazing!! Throughout my alteration appointments Jo was so lovely and full of great advice. The alterations we're perfect, my dress fitted beautifully and I felt amazing in it!Just the best experience, thank you so much!!

I had an excellent experience at Shades of white, I went on my second dress shopping experience and wow what a lovely afternoon! Emily was everything I needed and more to feel comfortable and relaxed having felt nervous and uncomfortable at the previous shop! Emily was patient in letting me try on styles that I knew I wouldn’t like but wanted to rule and she also knew what I needed more than I knew myself which resulted me in saying YES to the dress!Amazing experience and I can’t wait to come collect my dress!

I bought my wedding dress from here and everyone was so kind and amazing. This was the first bridal shop I went to and I ended up buying my dress on the first visit ! The store is in a perfect location, just by the river with a patio terrace on the side. It wasn’t hectic and this was the least stressful part of my bridal journey. Would recommend to other brides !

I was a very anxious bride and Shades of White was the only store I ended up looking in and buying my dress from. My dress is absolutely gorgeous! They have a lovely selection. I felt comfortable and reassured by Emily throughout the process and my bridal party really enjoyed the experience too! The shop is beautiful and spacious and the service felt really tailored to you. After having a little wobble in the dressing room, I was comforted by Emily, she made me feel at ease and get out of my head! The next dress I tried was the ONE. She helped put everything together to complete the look. Jo has been very helpful when I have had questions over the size ordered and possible alterations and I felt heard. I highly recommend.

I visited a few stores in the search for my wedding dress, both in London and Cambridgeshire, and Shades of White was by far the best experience I had.Jo was very patient and kind and it was no trouble at all to try on many of the dresses available in store, even when it was the same dress multiple times! After having a not so great experience at a London store I was nervous for my visit, but quickly felt welcomed and comfortable in the environment of the store and in the experienced hands of Jo.I highly recommend visiting Shades of White in the search for your wedding dress, you will not be disappointed!

Would not recommend, I booked for my now wife as a surprise only to end up being disappointed. First and second visit was a good experience but went down hill from there as soon as the dress was paid for. My daughter and brides maids who went with her ended up telling me on her final fitting the dress wasn’t ready, the belts were not sown on and they couldn’t get them out the shop quick enough, put the amount in the card machine and rammed it in front of her to pay for the alterations .I ended up calling the shop myself to say this needs to be sorted, she called my daughter a liar on the phone and said that she was wrong. the dress should have been completed for my wife’s final fitting you charged me over £300 to carry out some alterations.I just wished I had read the reviews prior to going here, no apologies or nothing.It’s a once in a lifetime for your future wife just please do some research, check reviews before going to them as a happy wife is a happy life.They had well over £2000 for her dress I expect the experience to be 100% all the way through, just for the record my wife has told me everything hence the review now and my daughter isn’t a liar.

I have just put a deposit down on the perfect dress, my experience at Shades of White has been great from start to finish. Jo was amazing, she really focussed on me and what I wanted, where I was getting married and what would be the right dress, nothing was too much trouble, I tried on lots of different styles and wasn't forced into any particular dress and was welcomed to go away and think about it, there was no pressure to buy anything on the day. I went back for a second try on and had the same experience. Highly recommend this wedding boutique for your wedding dress, such a beautiful range of dresses and designers and beautiful large. changing room with confy sofas for my guests, I saw them cleaning them between each visit. Thank you Jo and Shades of White. I will see you when my dress comes in May. X

Shades of White was the first place I went to try wedding dresses on and I was quite nervous. Jo was so reassuring from the start and let me try on as many dresses as I wanted.I thought I had found the one but there was something not quite right about it. Jo had got a feel for what I wanted and pulled a dress for me that I would never have chosen but I put it on and it was the one!The whole experience was so special and Jo was so friendly and clearly knows her stuff. A wonderful place to find 'the one' for your special day :)
